What does the opening gap look like all around the door and the jam?  Perhaps the hinges need adj.  Perhaps it is rubbing too hard one side or the other.

I had that once with my RV audio setup.  Outlet showed OK but the audio was  dead.  I took mine out, (4 screws behind a faceplate) and the was a fuse behind the unit in the wire-harness.  It was visually NG.  Replaced it and worked like a charm.

I don't do a lot of boondocking right now but when we do, I just run an extension cord from my inverter in the front bay of our 5er to the plug in for the unit.  Might not be the best, but it works for us.

I have a multi meter.  With less than basic knowledge. When I touch the meter to the wires I get really low numbers.  Not zero, but just weird / nonsensical.  That  gives me the courage to touch them.  They are not working.
