Wheelwell damage repair from tire blowout

We experienced three blowouts with Load Boss tires; two of them coming and going from a camp/job site. The second blowout tore up a bunch of sheetmetal before we got stopped. After some research I found that Vision Wheel (out of Alabama) manufactured the tires. What got my goat was that I am...

    Back flush issue

I'm assuming the system worked before the current issue(s). Regardless, I thought that I would share that the last two 5vers I have purchased had their check valves installed backwards. BTW - both valves were located under the bathroom sink. Which brings up a slew of questions; especially why it...

    A Tough Intro to Macerating

We finally broke down and bought a macerator. We are off the grid and the septic system we use is on a trailer, requiring the use of a lift pump to move things through the system. The dump pipe on our 5ver is too low to the ground in relation to the lift pump; so either a hole has to be dug or...

    Domatic air cond. warrenty issues.

We just had ours replaced and upgraded. Took forever (more than a month) and, thank goodness, we had a second air to use. Funny things is; after all was said and done, it took less than thirty minutes for them to swap air conditioners.

where do I rent a truck to tow a fifth wheel ?

It happens all the time here in South Texas. We work as gate guards and find ourselves getting requests to help people move their trailers and 5th wheels. Because of concerns about liability and difficulty in getting reimbursed for our efforts, we rarely do it anymore. Most services we have...

    ARE RV REFRIDGERATORS SAFE

As some of you know I have been fighting a recalcitrant Norcold N821. The thermistor was changed, the igniter was changed, the coil(s) fan and thermo switch were changed and a internal fan was added. All that, plus the cooling unit itself was changed. I am seeing temps in the low 20's on the...

Onan 7500 wont support two a/c without tripping a/c breakers

I wonder if the funny smell and bad capacitor that started all this is the underlying cause?? To bad they're not closer to Red Bay, Al. Still wouldn't hurt to call Allegro and see if they've encountered something similar.

Adding stackable washer/dryer unit in combo spot

Our last 5ver had an apartment unit (stacked) in it. It was a "lint free" model. We loved it, to the point of not regretting the lost closet space. It also had the ability to control the water consumption (load size) which we found to be a plus.

    A/C Help & Advice

Since you say that it cools, the compressor must be coming on. That eliminates the start capacitor and; for my money, the run capacitor. I assume this is the only unit in the coach? I say that because another breaker tripping (BTW I don't know what a control breaker is) gives me the idea that...

    Norcold fridge not working

After a two month long wrestling match with my Norcold N 821 (the cooling unit failed), I feel qualified to comment. I can't believe a shop would change out a control board without verifying voltage(s) and fuel supply. FWIW-changing a board is not a big deal. On the thermistor: if you disconnect...

    Fridge Stink

We finally resolved our cooling unit issue - it's a whole nother story, but we bought a unit from RV Cooling Unit Warehouse as suggested by Ned (http://rvcoolingunit.com/). The owner is a nice guy, does what he says and his units work! Over the lengthy period that we were without refrigeration...
