We bought a 98 Pace Arrow Vision 36B on Chev a few years ago and are very happy with it.  Obviously, there are engines with more power but we are satisfied with it.  My biggest gripe is that the GVWR/GCWR on the Chev chassis is not very good - if I'm not mistaken it's only  20500/21000 lbs. ...

One of the differences with the engines is that the 340 has an Allison 2500 transmission so 5k towing limit while the 350 has an Allison 3000 and I believe a 10k towing limit.

We have a 98 Pace Arrow Vision 36B and the water heater bypass valve is at the bottom of the closet in the bedroom.

For what it's worth, it can't find anything on it now but I'm pretty sure that Alpine Motorhomes (went out of business last spring) were available with optional tankless propane water heaters.
