These are all great comments! Thanks so much. My brand is also a Dometic brand and it does just plug into a regular 120v outlet. It slides into a "hole" made for the microwave. I don't think there is too much for me to worry about for the mounting? Basically I will just be sliding it back...
We have a 1994 Travelair Rustler and I'm assuming the microwave is just as old ha ha. Right now it only works for either 22 seconds or 2:22 seconds so we have managed but would really like a working one. On the front it says RV Microwave. Do I need to specifically buy an RV microwave or can I...
Thanks Grashley for that good advice. I will definitely do that and Donn, I will be buying a can of dry silicone spray lube. Too scared of the wd40 ha ha.
Well it's starting to warm up hear in Southern Alberta and I'm back onto this forum for another season of questions ha ha. Year 2 of learning about trailers! When we bought our trailer from the gentleman who was the second owner, he indicated that the kitchen window next to our dining table...
I do have an outdoor shower but didn't use it so I assumed I wouldn't need to drain it? But maybe I will do that as well anyways. I am not sure what is meant by the low point drains?? I did drain my fresh water tank and my grey and black tanks were drained after my last trip. I do have an...
I watched a friend winterize my trailer last year. This year i did it by myself and just want to ask if I missed anything....
I have a 1994 5th Wheel Travelair Rustler 26', so an older trailer
1. I turned valves on and off to bypass the hot water tank
2. I pulled the hot water anode rod and...
I don't want to hijack this post and don't want to do improper etiquette, so as a still new person to this forum, please let me know if I'm doing wrong and need to start a new thread. But along the same lines as what was originally posted...If I have solar panels on top of my trailer, can I...
Thank you very much for your answers! I'm so glad i found this forum a few weeks ago. I have a few more questions coming but I am slowly getting a little smarter about this trailer stuff!
Today I've been reading several threads about tow loads and diesel and gas trucks and all kinds of calculations that is WAYYYY over my head. I thought I just had to buy truck and a trailer and away I go ha ha. So here's my question...on my 1994 travelair 26' 5th wheel is a sticker that says...
Thanks everyone for all the answers! I just returned home and checked this forum. Frank B, my wife says she likes your advice and will make that same concoction. Thanks for sharing that! Smoke really wasn't a problem until the very last day when a wind picked up and brought in a lot more haze...
This question is for my wife. She is wondering what people use to clean out their toilets and tubs. We have an older, 1996 Travelair 5th wheel. Are there specific brands that are best? Or can she just use dishwasher soap? Probably not the same stuff she'd use in the house, we're assuming. ...
Thanks Rene, that was great advise. I believe I found it and it also appears to be an electric motor as was mentioned earlier. I will definitely be testing this out to make sure I know what I'm doing. Will cranking from just this one side raise/lower BOTH legs? I assume it must eh?
Good point Bruce. I really don't know if they are hydraulic or electric. I push the button up or down and the legs go up or down ha ha. That's the extent of my knowledge right now. knocking on wood twice so you don't need your crank!
