    Are RVs great or what?

Completely agree. Caronavirus or not, the ability to travel without staying at dirty hotel rooms or eating expensive and not very good meals at restaurants is why we travel by RV. My wife has made it clear that she no longer wants to put up with hotel rooms and public toilets now that we have...

    Screendoor Lock

We have had the exact same concern and I posted essentially the same question perhaps a year ago. I was looking for minimal security - that is, enough to keep someone who might be just curious out of the RV. It is a screen door and even the most secure lock would not keep someone who was...

    Why MB?

That makes sense. I think our Ford Transit setup is quite nice but the "Captain's chairs" really seem a bit cheesy for a reasonably expensive Class C RV, and less well done than the ones in our previous Class B Ford. We did test drive a Winnebago ERA on the MB Chassis before settling on the...

    Why MB?

I think that the Ford dealer told me that they use 10 or 12 quarts of synthetic oil for a diesel oil change on the Ford diesel (I don't remember which) so the high price is understandable. Our gas Jeep oil change, including tire rotation, was $50 at the Jeep dealer and the Ford oil change for...

    Why MB?

The MB auto dealership changes about that for an oil change, and they apparently do a lot of Sprinter chassis RV oil changes. That is not surprising to me considering that the RV shops charge so much more.

    Why MB?

Our local family owned RV repair shop will do oil changes on our Winnie Fuse with its Ford diesel but will not touch a MB chassis. They said that MB requirements are so difficult to meet that it is just not worth their effort. There is one RV repair shop in this area that will do them, but they...

    Why MB?

Not an issue, but a question. I see that Winnebago has moved all of their new Class C motorhomes that were Ford chassis to Mercedes Benz. I am not questioning the change itself but am wondering why. I have a 2018.5 Fuse on the Ford Transit HD Chassis and am very happy with the Ford diesel and...

    Coachnet

Good Sam seems to have done away with their basic coverage. I used to have that but received an email telling me that I had been upgraded to Platinum when they stopped offering their basic coverage. I don't know if they were not making a profit or if this was just a way to make more.

    Tire inflation.

Yes, but I always thought that was one more problem. To get to the weigh station or when stopping for fuel I have to drive the RV and that heats up the tires, so they are not "cold" anymore. They also tell you to not add air to hot tires, but I don't know how to avoid that if you are traveling...

    What is it?

Well, that is not the TV antenna. That is on the roof, not on the door.

    What is it?

Don't know if this is what you are referring to, but our 2018 Fuse has one of the new type of TV antenna placed right where you mentioned. It stands about 10 or 12 inches high, is black and the top is a flat circular receiver for the TV signals.

RV Service Assessment Survey - PLEASE HELP ME :)

And I think it would be helpful to specify whether the shop repairs (compared to DIY repairs) were done by the dealer or by a 3rd party repair shop. And if a 3rd party repair shop, why not the dealer (cost, time, some other reason).

Using a 2 wheel tow dolly

I have been telling myself to do just that as soon as it stops raining and the weather clears up a bit. Interestingly enough I was back at the Honda dealer yesterday getting some work done and asked a different advisor the same question. His first response was "Neutral", but I then asked him if...

Using a 2 wheel tow dolly

Where can I find chains strong enough to keep the car on the dolly? I know places like HomeDepot sell chains by the length you want but I do not know if those chains are strong enough to hold a 2600 pound car on the dolly if the straps break.

Using a 2 wheel tow dolly

My concern over whether to use the Park or Neutral setting seems silly after reading these comments but just this morning I had to take the Fit into the Honda dealer to try to get some service take care of. While there I asked the advisor if the Park setting locks only the front wheel or all of...
