Blue Ox 10,000 tow bar turning concerns

Actually you can and i did when we received bad directions from a campground. We had to turn around on the road as tight as we could. We caused scuffing to the left rear of the Rv. Blue Ox 10000 pound towbar towing a Jeep Liberty. Ken

Need advice for a good rust remover.

Flitz works great removing rust and adds a polish to protect the metal. Been using for years on our boat stainless and our motorhome. For tight spots i apply on an old toothbrush. Ken

    direct tv att satellite channels

We have a KVH tracvision system on our boat. A week ago we lost our local channels. Called directv who did not have a clue. Wanted to send a technician to my boat. I called KVH technical suppoert who informed me that the local channels in our area Ft. Myers were moved to 103 and 99. My system...

How do you like your Garmin RV 780 GPS Navigator?

Basecamp will only upload the locations of each stop. It DOES NOT upload a multistep trip. It also uploads each stop randomly not in order you set it up in Basecamp or RV Trip Wizard. I found this problematic. It is just easier to plan on RV Trip Wizard and then key in each address each evening...

How do you like your Garmin RV 780 GPS Navigator?

We just purchased the RV785. In hindsight, I might have gone with the RV780 because we will never be able to use the dash cam feature. Our windshield is too far away to be able to use the GPS so we mount it on the dash with the suction cup mount. The mount is designed not to be able to allow the...

Trip planning. Florida to Alaska summer 2020

We do that trip every other year from Cape Coral. We do make reservations for our long stays, for example, we stay a month in Homer. We always take a different route up to see something different. In may, we are heading up through Wyoming and back via Banff. My main advice, is take your time...

    Alaska without a toad?

We go up every other year for the summer. I have seen thousands of the Class C Rentals ranging from 25 to 30 feet. In my conversations with the campers, none have complained that they could not find a place to park. Ken

    Good Sam Club

We are GS life members and used the old trip planner for years. We even have a GS GPS from Rand McNally. Their new trip planner is a joke and a waste of time. I finally purchased a year for the RV Trip Wizard. I am working on our 2020 Alaska trip and have found it to be much better than the old...

    Good Sams card

You swipe credit card first. It then asks you for your "loyalty" card. However, it is easier and you get a 14 cent discount on diesel if you use the Flying J credit card. ken

    Shower not draining

We use the plastic hair remover. Just remove the drain cap, shove it down, and out comes a hunk of yuck. Sold on Amazon...

    florida questions

We store ours in a three sided building with 30amp power. The opening faces north so we do not get in sun shining at the coach. We keep the battery charges on and on AC set at 78. They meter our usage, and during the winter it is around $20 per quarter. Not bad. Look for storage that provides...

    Going to Alaska

That is why I said "at least". We actually spend 4 to 5 months. But I have noticed quite a few that take a month spending 3 to 4 days at the major destinations such as Fairbanks, Denali, Homer, Seward, and Valdez. My point is you have to take your time. I have seen 5th wheels, truck campers...
