    Thetford Aqua-Magic Plus won't stop

Had my 3rd one in same park today, same complaint, same results. First one flooded so bad that water was running out patio door on a park model, and second one was about 6 mos. old , and only started second season.  Now another one this weekend doing same. All had pressure regulators on hose...

Critters want to winter over in my rv

Have to go with the Bounce sheets !  Spread them all over inside unit, and plug holes with them as well. I do opening packages on approx., 60-70, 12x40's in spring here in Ontario, Canada and the ones that drop the sheets all over floor , furniture, cupboards, drawers, in beside and around...

    Pre delivery inspection

For what it's worth, I don't approve of those tactics either, but I will tell you this much. Being an RV tech for the last 15+ years, as well as a Service Manager, Warranty Administrator, Parts Mgr, and Shop foreman along those years, I have assigned, as well as performed many PDI's in my day...

    Re laminate rear cap?

Whoa yes !  I didn't even notice the year. As Gary suggested, contact manufacturer and see what kind of response they have. Doesn't hurt to try.

    I hate carpet!

You may be surprised at price from a pro. They may even have some left over from another job, or end of roll that is to your liking. I found they were reasonable, in fact usually cheaper to hire them than use my own crew. They did it in half the time (pros) and better look after.  Good for them...

Hardware for hybrid end bunks - elastic cord clips

The dealer I work with here in Canada orders them direct from Starcraft. The 2 main aftermarket parts suppliers used here in Canada, don't carry them.  Anywhere you can find a Startcraft dealer near you should have them, as they are a common item to be replaced.

    help with water damage

That molding at the top is usually in a place where it ties front with roof and has a brace ( 2x2, or 2x4 ) all the way across for structural as well as a place to secure molding to hold those 2 surfaces in place. Thus moving molding down, would require you get in behind and install a similar...

    I hate carpet!

If your buying new, then have them order yours as you want, without carpet.  We have requests similar to that quite often, and as long as the buyer has a little time to wait, we order it as asked. As a service manager, I always had a couple of flooring businesses in the area that I dealt with...

    Re laminate rear cap?

First thing I would do is remove the corner molding where it has delammed and take a look behind/between panel and see what kind of shape the wood is behind the exterior panel. If still dry and no sign of water damage, just adhesive let go, it might not be too bad to fix. If wood panel that...

    Ceramic Heater Question

-Also check if anything else plugged in elsewhere that may be on same circuit you plugged heaters into. -When /if buying a 12G. extension cord, try to measure approx. length required for your purpose, and buy the one closest to your required length + a little extra in case measurement was off a...

Is warranty work typical on a brand new 5th wheel?

Sounds to me like the dealer (CW) probably sustained the damage on the way back from the RV show, if it's the same trailer. Not unusual for the guys tearing down and packing up to be in a rush to get done and get home, thus things get packed in and securing all that is inside sometimes isn't a...

    help with water damage

Personally, I'd remove moldings on outside, if not already off, then remove staples holding siding on and remove what is necessary to complete the framing properly, then re-staple/secure siding back as it was from the outside. Are you doing a partial /patch on rubber roof or complete 1 pc from...

    Roofing question for a NEWCOMER

By your description, I am thinking what you are describing is fairly common. When a new rubber roof is installed.  ( I will assume it's rubber. EPDM )  Although most RV's from factory strive to have a nice flat, no ripples, no bubbles finish, it is not uncommon to see a few.  The problem you...
