Contemplating a class C rental for a late summer trip

Fly out, rent a car, tour the area, visit, fly home.  Most likely cost about same and be more comfortable; or, buy a small RV and take more time, sell it when you get back.

    Campground book

We got rid of all the books.  Once we got used to it, it's so much faster and easier to check on smart phone or laptop.  Information is current, pictures, hook up info, etc.  I will never go back to paper now with all the apps available, Google Maps, satellite images, etc.... Not to mention the...

    Orlando, FL area camping decision

We stayed at the Kissimmee KOA For two months last year, Feb & March.  We loved the location. Easy access to everything you can imagine.  It's a nice place to relax in the midst of a lot of activities.

Utah highways 14 or 143 with travel trailer?

You'll only have issues on 14 or 143 if you're queesy on mountain roads... We spent five months in that part of Utah last summer and enjoyed both routes.. Route 20 is also a pretty drive which you'll enjoy too.  14 and 143 will be a lot slower. Depends on your trailering comfort.

    Road dust

We have a reversible fan but never use it when traveling. Seems if the fan is set to blow out it would draw dust in from other spaces.  Does dust get in when everything is closed up? Vents, Windows.

    Overall height question

The aforementioned State & Federal highway standards mean you are good on those roads, but pay attention on other city and county roads.

How important is R-Values for snowbirds?

Good insulation is as helpful for heat or cold.  Also helps reduce outside sounds and condensation..  even better if you get dual pane Windows.  In short, every additional bit of insulation is beneficial.

    Traveling with prostate issues?

The biopsy is no issue; I had two in a two year period while traveling full time.  Then I chose the robotic surgery.  We stayed at A KOA during recovery, but was able to get out and walk daily as prescribed immediately, and was driving within two weeks.

    Jackson Hole, Wyoming

We've driven Teton Pass towing our Big Horn 5th wheel.. No problem at all and enjoy the ride.. I do understand some folks are not comfortable doing altitude or tight curves, but in my opinion it's a lot safer and more pleasant than driving on most interstate highways.

    RVers turned away

We've camp hosted and find that there are no shows every day.. Site is paid for but can't sell it again as on occasion people do show during the night.  Also, our winter park in Arizona right now has at least 20 unoccupied sites, but are already paid by seasonal renters, therefore we're full...

    Sewer Hose Storage

Camping World has a couple different sizes ready to mount. That's what we purchased and mounted to the undercarriage frame.

Do you have a name for your RV?

We do have the name on the rear above the large window.  It's the same name we had on our 39' trawler that we lived on and travelled from Lake Michigan to the Gulf then around Florida, up to New York and back to Lake Michigan.  It's also my forum name:  MT Pockets

Is extended warranty worth the cost?

We've had several RV's over the years and never had an extended warranty, until we decided to go full time.  Insurance is about the odds, and overall the odds favor the insurer. However, I believe the odds for using the RV full time, lean more in favor of the insured.  We purchased the extended...
