Is 1/2" clearance above battery enough??

I used to work for some fine real clever German folks.  They used an over the thumb estimate of 1KV to jump a one millimeter gap.  This was at room temperature and humidity etc etc.

Can't loosen propane line to remove stove

I've read on a few forums that use of dish detergent etc, is bad practice.  In the long term, the stuff will cause decomposition of the base metal.  It has been suggested that kids bubble blower liquid, at 25  cents for a pint, is a much better choice, and a whole lot safer.

    open engine cover

As RL said, it's a 5/16 hex key.  I'm sure the older ones are different, but mine is an '01 Itasca.

Number of lug nuts on tires

Iron rat hit it.  Tires have nothing to do with lug nut count. The wheels need to fit the axle lug nuts zactly.  The size of the tires does not effect the number of lug nuts on the wheel.  PS: I really hope the "smokin deal" on tires you reference is not on china bombs ('Made in China'...

    Carburetor tuning/Idle speed

One other thing to try : remove the idle adjust screws (engine off).  put them one at a time into the chuck of your fastest electric drill.  spin the drill while holding a piece of fine steel wool over the point.  Shortly, the screw point will eventually become quite clean & shiny.  This can...

Removing glass (in one piece) from window frame

When I was in the electro-optics business, we used Krylon ULTRA FLAT BLACK spray paint.  It may be another option for you to consider.

    LP Plumbing Assistance Needed

Cap'nSteve has it - bring it to your local neighborhood RV fixum store.  You cannot afford to screw this up. (by the way, do you have a propane sniffer in your toolbox? If not, the RV shop is the only answer)

Need help diagnosing an amp draw

Randy - did i pick up that the batteries are "DEEP CYCLE MARINE?"  That's a cheap version of  a real deep cycle battery, and will not last you.  Although  this may have little or no bearing on identifying the alleged false draw, keep in mind that these "marine"  batteries will not serve as well...

Have no water getting to toilet. Tiny pressure getting to bathroom sink/shower.

I think Tin Man is as corny as Kansas in August. Signed, Unsigned

    Surge Guard

Tin Man - I recently bought a new (to us) Itasca with 50A hookup.  It is equipped with a 50A Surge Guard.    Recently, I noticed  that the surge guard has what appears to be a shut 'em off key dead center of the SG.  Unfortunately, The Previous owner did not supply the key.  When you get yours...

Excellent question, John.  I look forward to the reply.

    Changing out my black tank...

From this observers standpoint, looks like you have it well in hand.  Good catch on the HF 'welder'.  One suggestion - take off your ring, lest you get it hot on accident and you'll be doing a wardance in your driveway.

    Strange Power Glitch

Your post encouraged me to 'hook into this matter.  While I cannot answer your query from a point of direct experience, I just wonder if your problem might just be the same as mine - here goes  The rig (95 Bounder 35') spends it's off road time plugged in to a proper 30A outlet, about 75 to...

    Keys "misplaced"

A buddy told me about Saint Anthony.  He is the overseer of us dudes who lose things, and  I ask for his help when I'm scouring the place looking for lost keys.  My 'solution' for lost keys - One set hanging on the garage wall.  Another COMPLETE set hanging on the pantry wall.  Third set in the...
