Wiring a sonar & GPS combo unit on a boat

Thanks guys.  I think that has me in pretty good shape. Tom - it is not even approaching 'large' as boats go (or much in the way of electrical stuff other than running lights and live wells) so I doubt if they went fancy at all.  I'm not even gonna ask what a 'floating ground' might be. ;D

    Hurricane Fay....she's a-coming

This interesting.  Don't think I've ever seen such disarray among the various computer models at this stage. Equally split between a steady northward movement and a bounce toward the Atlantic and then back west and the steady ones can't agree on a path through central NC or central TN. They do...

Wiring a sonar & GPS combo unit on a boat

I know this is not RV related but I figure someone can unconfuse me. I'm going to mount a new fish finder on my boat near the ignition switch and a bunch of rocker switches and wonder about a detail or two.  I know I can find a hot wire (have a meter) but I'm not sure what to do about the...

    generator an co levels

I find myself really hoping that TS Fay takes a track that brings her across central North Carolina.  We really need the rain and that west-most track will mean that our neighbors to the south will have taken most of the strength away and just left us all that lovely water.

Big Sleeper Vans on trucks: the new RV?

Yup.  Is.  Does mostly salt water at home but wanted to do some fresh water fishing while he was here. The big blue cats in Badin (about 30 miles) got his attention and the combo of flatheads in the upper part of High Rock plus my promise of clonking lessons with a spare clonk he could take...

Big Sleeper Vans on trucks: the new RV?

OT but I have an internet friend named Ian who will be spending a week with me for some fishing.  I've never seen a photo of him but since he is from Wanneroo in Western Australia, it probably isn't you unless you've moved.  He flew into the left coast last week and is working his way to by...

The big picture - Weather Radar US wide

I like www.wunderground.com better I think. Easy to get local content and easy to navigate to any other sections (including tropical weather) when you wish.

Is anyone else having problems with Yahoo Mail?

That 's odd.  I ran IE exclusively from the early days of version 1.x until IE7 which has a couple of display issues I don't like and I switched to firefox.  I had brief tries at Netscape and Opera but kept returning to IE. Zero infections from 1996 to 2008.

Help/advice needed from English Golfers on tour

How about a toy hauler (caravan with a largish enclosed and usually climate controlled cargo area) and buy some inexpensive bunk beds for that area? Note: I have no idea if you can rent one but I'd bet you can and a truck to tow is should also be available for rent.  If you get a full-size crew...
