    New RV minor problems

Yea, I hear what Frizlefrak has to say and he's right of course but still, for the money spent, it just seems an awful shame that across the board the manufactures' can't seem to do better. After reading so many cases here on the forum of new trailler problems, of seeing first hand new equipment...

    Fill 'er up!

Hi Randy, I pull a 32' keystone with a gas box truck which is 28' so we are a heck of a rig. Had some tight calls but never have run out of gas. Big thing is to start looking early so that you do not pass by that "perfect" gas station just to squeeze out another 100 miles.  :-\ Also backing up...

    Converter/Inverter

Thanks guys, I will delve into it deeper. I was thinking 2000 watt also. Would power everything but the AC but would power the fan. I have several Solar panels that I figure to put into the system also. Oak

    Converter/Inverter

I need some advice/help please. Travel trailer: 31ft, Keystone 2007 zeppelin. I have a converter in this unit as shore power must be connected in order for me to have AC power. Is there a way for me to put an Inverter in-line so that when I am camping away from hook-ups I could generate ac...

Wheel bearing popped off & smoking

Sounds like this ended with all safe and can be fixed. I have a question though. This was on the TT. Couldn't he have stopped, removed the wheel & tire that are on the blown spindle bearing, and then proceeded on just the 1 good wheel left on that side? I am talking about limping along now, but...

    The ONE Thing

OK, it's a little thing but has proved valuable. An adapter to go on the water spigot that changes it from a one hose outlet to four. We camp in a lot of places where there are limited water hook-ups. And this adapter has saved us from many an argument with a neighbor. Can be bought at any Wal...

    Manual Shifting When Towing

I live in Colorado on the West Slope. (West side of the divide). As we travel often to the east side we are always going through several mountain passes. I haul primarily with a 2005 GMC 3/4 ton dually with the 6.4L gas engine and auto transmission, hauling around 7,000lbs of stuff.  We too go...

Jayco Slide water leaks when extended

Those fixes do seem like they should have worked.... but didn't.  :(  I agree, time to move up the food chain @ Jayco. That is a top-of-the line model and no way should it be leaking. Perhaps a retractable awning over that slide? But it does seem Jayco should be more helpful with a fix.  :-\...

1977(?) Starcraft Travel Trailer GUT job help

I would agree with Robertusa123 "I would pick up a table saw  so you can rip down 2/4 to the size you need rather then buying 2/2.  The quantity of ten at home centers is questionable at best.  As far as cost you're probably break even on the lumber cost savings and you could buy a table saw...

    Electric converter question.

I had no thought of that, thanks. I will get the vacuum out and do a thorough cleaning. I have a compressor so could blow condensed air over it too. I will let you know what I find out. Thank you Gary, thank you Robert. Oak

    Electric converter question.

So this has happened twice, the incidents about two months apart, but both times occurring at the same camping park. 4:00am in the morning. Suddenly the lights dim, for perhaps 3 to 4 seconds. Return to normal. Fan on the converter kicks in, runs for about 30 seconds. Now I have not been...
