    Wolves

Just FYI...  Did you know that the howling of a wolf is at a certain pitch that does not echo???  Howling is used as a location measure and an echo would throw the ability to locate into turmoil.  So, the howls do not echo.  (Thank the Animal Channel for that one!)

    Brazos Bend State Park

Just spent a week at Brazos Bend State Park with my grandson, Dalton Wilson, and, despite the heat (mid to upper 90's) we had a wonderful time.  If you are ever in the area, this is truly a nice park.  There are fishing lakes, nature trails, Natural Science Museums and much, much more.  Located...

    Mould on awning

I have an '07 29' JAG with a Carefree awning.  Six months (+-) in SE Texas humidity and lots of rain.  So far, no mold problems of any kind.  But, I am vigilant about opening awning ASAP after any rain.  Looking to the AnswerBag, it says to use a diluted bleach mixture to remove pink mold from...

    Mosquitos

ArdraF, A little trick you may want to try is to spray your clothing 10 or 15 minutes before putting it on.  The clothing will be well coated but virtually dry.  The result will be the same but the spraying will be neater and easier.  And, you are right about the cowboy shirts.  Comfort is and...

    Help with 7 way adapter

Run the wire to the back like you said and you will be okay.  Go online and you can find a variety of wiring diagrams (funny papers) and one should fit your application.  If not or if you are uncomfortable doing your own wiring, break out the wallet and have it done by a "pro".

    Mosquitos

Well, after many years of trailrides and campouts, I have found that drinking a good ration of Jack Daniels is great.  Oh, it doesn't keep the mosquitoes off of you but when you've had enough, either you don't care if they bite or the ones that do just seem to fly off into never-never land to...

to wax or how to wax...that is the ?

Bugs!  A friend told me about a quick, inexpensive bug remover that works.  Imagine that!  Dryer sheets!  Take a clean dryer sheet and gently rub away the bug remains on your RV.  I have not found any adverse reaction to the sheets.  If you have heard of this or if you know of related problems...

    lug nuts

There seems to be a lot of importance placed on checking the lug nuts often.  Well, I have checked and checked and am finding everything a-okay.  I know the need to be sure they are properly tightened; but, if there seems to be no problem with them backing off, is it really necessary to check...

    Patio Mats

May not be exactly what you are looking for but here is my "mat".  I had a piece of leftover indoor/outdoor carpet about 4' X 8'.  On the 4' ends, I attached 1"X4" slats to the under side with a heavy duty stapler. The slats help hold the mat in place and serve as a means of rolling the mat up...

    wet canopy

Thanks for the input.  I can relax a little now.  Seems now all I have to worry about is when will this rain ever stop.  Again, thanks...

    wet canopy

This may sound dumb at first; but, it is a serious question.  Subject: 15' Carefree canopy on 29' TT.  TT is parked outdoors and when it rains, the entire canopy gets wet.  I am vigilant to open the canopy a s a p after a heavy rain and dry it out.  I find water seems to be on the entire area of...

    house plants

I cannot give you a brand name, but there is a watering system that works like a wick in an old kerosene lamp.  One end of the wick is in a water source and the other is in the planter.  I know of this thanks to my ex who is a plant fanatic.  I believe it is adjustable as to amount of water...

    RVing with PETS

I (we when my grandson is along) travel with 2 Australian Shepherds.  Tess (9 year female) and Concho (3 year male) both love the road, so much in fact they take over the back seat of the p-u and sleep almost the full trip.  At camp, they are very content inside or out on the long stake out...

    Gator warning!

I don't want to unnecessarily alarm anyone.  But, I feel this is worth posting.  On a weekend trip to Brazos Bend State Park, southwest of Houston, my 12 yr old grandson and I encountered a couple of possible sources for concern.  The first thing was a copperhead snake on a roadway that crows...

Anyone have a K-Z Durango 5th wheel? Would love to know what you think!

I have a 29' K-Z TT and my buddy has a 32' K-Z 5'er.  We are both very happy with them.  Both are fiberglass exterior.  All is well with appliances, air units, interior finish and accomodations.  I have not had any problems requiring dealing with K-Z directly but it is good to hear that they are...
