This may sound dumb at first; but, it is a serious question.  Subject: 15' Carefree canopy on 29' TT.  TT is parked outdoors and when it rains, the entire canopy gets wet.  I am vigilant to open the canopy a s a p after a heavy rain and dry it out.  I find water seems to be on the entire area of the canopy, even though it is rolled up tightly.  I have to wonder how water manages to get to the inner, rolled area of the canopy and if this is a cause for concern.  I want to extend the life of the canopy for as long as possible.  Any suggestions short of putting the TT in protected storage?

FWIW, ours is the same.  It just seems to leak in.

If I understand correctly, current canopies are plastic anyway, so there should be no problem with mildew or rot.

However, I am pleased to accept correction from anyone more experienced than myself.

Frank.

I can answer the means by which water gets in,  It is called capillary action

This is how oil travels up the wick on an oil lantern, How wax makes it up the wick on a candle and

it's how water gets in to a tightly rolled awning.
