Leveling jack warning light and alarm problem - help before I'm deaf!

Thanks for the question and also for the answer. I am having the very same problem and it is on my "to fix list" as soon as the snow goes away some. I was reading in the Power Gear troubleshooting manual and it suggest the same fix....add fluid. I'm hoping it is that simple. My problem started...

    How important are leveling jacks?

I agree, I liked Wendy's suggestion about backing up first then pulling forward onto the blocks. I think what I will do is take the design of the ramp and start with a 1/2" thick pc. of plywood so the front wheel can climb up on it easier so the weight of the coach helps hold the ramp in place...

    How important are leveling jacks?

Thanks ArdraF.... great idea. When you try to drive up on the boards do you have any trouble with the boards sliding back as the tires try to climb up on the first board? In my situation I will need to back up on the boards because I have to back into my site but same principle. Thanks, Phil

Need help understanding tire sizing and if I can change

Yes I was talking about duals on the rear....and I see your point. I would be closing up the gap to much. I guess I kind of thought it was not going to work....but that's why I wanted to ask. Thanks everyone for the imput. I think I will just stay with the same size. He did say he would...

Need help understanding tire sizing and if I can change

Hey everyone, I am interested in knowing if I can change the tire size on the coach now. I contacted the chassis manufacturer and they told me the vehicle left with the following: Goodyear G159  11R22.5 tires and 22.5 x 8.25 rims The coach now has: Michelins  295/80R 22.5  (which need to be...

    How important are leveling jacks?

I was going to talk to the management about using their bobcat and grade the site level. Now that I have brought in the gravel all I really need to do is dig the rear down and drag it forward then use some of the new gravel to clean up the lot. If they don't want me to do that then I was...

    How important are leveling jacks?

Thanks to all for this info....it has been so helpful ! I am one of those who find myself at a campground with a season site where to level my coach with the three point jack system actually brings the front tires about six inches off the ground. I spoke with the campground owner and said...

    Aquahot heating system question

Your right, I only drained the fresh water system, not the aquahot system. I think you guys have given me the info I was looking for....thanks. I will also contact American Coach and talk to them. I also emailed the tech dept at the aquahot website. So, it sounds like the electric heating...

    Aquahot heating system question

This is the first winter we have owned this 1999 American Heritage with an Aquahot heating system. My understanding is there are two ways this unit heats the coach, one is with an electric heating element and the second is the diesel fired unit. When I winterized the unit I drained all the water...

    RV training videos and dvd's

As for me I think it would be good to have access to those type of visuals. I know my kids are on you tube everyday watching videos. Heck, even the presidential candidates are using it to their advantage. The only thing I hate is I don't have any wisdom to offer in a video....I would just be...

    RV training videos and dvd's

I think that would be awesome....to be able to view a short movie clip of something you are unfamiliar with. I know it is hard at times to communicate with just written responses. Sometimes I don't even know what the correct question to ask is. When you are new at something (as I am at this) and...

    RV training videos and dvd's

Thanks everyone....I ordered a set today. I figured I would learn all I could and then have them for others to use also. I also thought they might be handy for family members when they borrow the coach ( I'm going to try to avoid that but....) Phil

    Three Questions

    (1) Great question....I was wanting that info also. I was not sure if I should leave the charger on all the time. I was afraid I was doing damage to the batteries. (2) I would think it is better to leave it on unless you were not going to use it for a full day or so. Like others have said...
