Main water connection large white water filter question.

Thank you, had no idea there was such a device!  Will also try some vaseline or dielectric grease on the O-ring perhaps.  Wish the O-ring was a little thicker, as it's pretty thin overall.

Main water connection large white water filter question.

I always seem to have trouble after unscrewing our large white water filter in our wet bay, in that the small round rubber gasket, just doesn't seem to be enough to hold the pressure!  I end up having to tighten it so tight, that it's hard to take off the next time, and often even tightening it...

'08 Tiffin Phaeton Leveller issue -

I'm currently getting an error message on my passenger rear jack/leveller, and I'm looking for some help on it. Unfortunately they are Atwood levellers, and I've seen numerous issues, albeit I'm sure some can be 'fixed' rather than replaced? My issue is where the keypad is giving me a 'red/green...

When parking the RV at your home

Much depends on the owner of the RV it seems, but some good tips here on this post!  Our 37' Phaeton sits level on one side of our double driveway, leaving about 3' (4' from house - 3' from our cul-de sac).  I haven't put the jacks down, albeit I 'did' just run them up and down many times last...

Atwood jack/levellers, go down and stop 1/2" before touching the ground?

I'm getting my Atwood jack/levelling system to go down fine, but they either touch, then come up 1/2" above the ground (or blocks if I put them on the ground under the jacks) or they all stop at 1/2" before touching! This is after pushing the On - All to have them automatically level. Any ideas...

How to determine how many amps my residential fridge takes?

Wow, this is an old post, but pertains to me here in July of 2018....or 4 years after the post....so I'll assume Solar has even gotten better over that time?  I too am wanting to add a solar array, and it looks like I'll also want 100 Amps.  I would like to also change batteries (4 - six volt...

    Diesel Pusher Engine Recommendation

This is NOT so!  I have a Tiffin Phaeton '08 360 HP, and you are good up to 2010 before the need for DEF is needed.

Oil change prices - diesel engine

Wondering what the full service cost such as those mentioned here are, in Canada?

    New Class A Motorhome Owner

Question for you folks, in that my wife and I are thinking of going to a Class C ourselves, but quite possibly the diesel pusher model, more for the air ride and exhaust brake abilities, as I already have a license for driving big rigs.  But, looking back, many folks go from camper or small...

New to RVing, too many choices

Lots of great information here, and my wife and I are in the same boat (so to speak) where we are newly retired, and want to find ourselves a motorhome.  We've been doing some research for a while, and have things where we know we want a Class A, diesel pusher, and so far have found an interest...

Another Canadian thinking of joining the Class A market.

New to this retirement thing, and upon sitting here looking outside out our current weather, the yearning for the warmth of the south is becoming more and more attractive!  Doing some (much actually) research on motorhomes, which tend to have more problems than others, the many different...

Highway speeds when camper in bed of truck.

I thought I'd ask if legal highway speeds are affected with a truck & camper, as opposed to those pulling trailers?    I know some states have posted speeds for semi's pulling trailers, but thought I'd ask if truck & camper combinations are the same as all vehicles, or sometimes altered to semi...

Isolator needed between truck & camper?

I noticed, when I have the camper plugged in to the truck, one of the wires to the camper batteries, already has power to it.  I'm thinking there is no isolator within the wiring system to the camper, but have no electrical experience, so does anyone know how I could add an Isolator myself? ...

What size/age of camper should I be looking for for my 2006 GMC 2500 Crewcab?

The majority of older campers where made for the 8' truck box, and in most cases (unless it's a custom made unit) you have to go newer, as there are now campers made for short box trucks.    When originally looking for a camper myself, I found more available (Arctic Fox) for short boxes than...

How to tell if your convertor is working correctly?

The battery charger/tender that I use is of the type to eliminate 'Sulfation' such as in this site - http://batteryminders.com/sulfation.php which brings the batteries up to a full 100% charge.  I'll eventually get a solar panel to help keep things charged for those long periods of stoppage...
