    Good Sam Extended Service Plan

The repairs were for the roof top air conditioner unit.  Yes it is covered.  Electrical and mechanical stuff is covered, maintenance things are not.  They told me they would replace the a/c if the compressor was bad.  It wasn't.  Needed a new fan motor, junction box and thermostat.  The...

Drippy A/C; Looking for RV Tech in Albuquerque NM Area

A lot of dust quickly clogs the drain holes in the drip pan on the roof.  I took a wire coat hanger and cleaned out the weep holes, and then flushed the dust (mud actually) that had accumulated in the drain pan itself, because it kept clogging the holes from the inside of the unit.  Had to do...

rv interior light work on AC not DC. Coach batteries not charging.

I realize it is a pdf document.  I also realize that it has an embedded font error and is not displaying properly. Never mind.  I found it myself.  This one works without display issues.  http://intellitec.com/PDF/5300635.100.pdf

(Norcold 1200) No burn on LP!

When I had this problem it was because a tree frog had crawled up inside the outside refrigerator vent and got fried on the board.  After the board was cleaned, not by me, problem was solved.

This document does not display correctly.  Do you have a different source file for it?  Too many of the words in it are mangled for it to be useful.

    EEK! A RAT!

I'm pretty sure there is just one.  Even though the damage looks like an army of them invaded, gauging by the noise level of activity I have heard from time to time, I would be inclined to believe just one.

    EEK! A RAT!

I was thinking more along the lines of a .38  After all he's done, what's one more hole?

    EEK! A RAT!

I did see him.  I think he is a mouse, not a rat.  A little on the large side for a mouse, but too small to be a rat - - at least I think so.  I didn't get "that" good of a look at him, as he seemed to be in a hurry to get somewhere.  I have found that he also went into one of my storage...

    EEK! A RAT!

I have no idea what hole he came in through.  I think he came in through the engine compartment, as I found evidence of activity on the floor of the passenger side as well.

    EEK! A RAT!

Ok, it wasn't a rat, it was a little itty bitty field mouse.  But it might as well have been a tyrannosaurus rex.  It ATE the entire planking out of the curve above the cab of my Class C.  Seriously.  My first clue that something was wrong, I noticed that the outside laminate of the RV in that...

rv interior light work on AC not DC. Coach batteries not charging.

I am having this exact same problem, - - all of my 12v widgets work on AC but not DC.  My generator also will not start.  There is also an ignition AUX switch up on the dash, but of course it would not start the engine.  I wasn't surprised, but had to check.  My coach batteries for my Winnebago...

    Good Sam Extended Service Plan

I have had this insurance for a long time, because I thought it was a good idea.  Maybe not.  I had called the claims department to verify that repairs to my RV would be covered before the repairs were done, and they assured me it was. I submitted a cash paid receipt for the repairs in January...

Day/Night Shade Frustrated Me for the Last Time!

Those freaky dust collectors were the first thing I tore out when I bought my winnebago.  The first time they needed cleaned, I decided they had to go.  Replaced them with limo tint that has UV reducing properties.  Initially I also installed room darkening vinyl mini blinds, but decided those...

    hate the accordion door

I have three dogs, and two wooden baby gates - actually sold as pet gates at walmart for about $20.  The baby gates work great for keeping the dogs at either end of the hallway I choose.  Or even in the bathroom if necessary.  One at the front door at all times, keeps them from charging for the...

An RV Mod Tale: Follow along (if you dare).

I was super impressed with the cork option.  How it is harvested, is very cool, and something I want to support.  I also love the sound and cold insulating on the floor, as well as the colors available.  It can be sealed to protect the tiles, and as to seams, well,,, certainly if water can get...
