I have a travel trailer with a pull out type shore power cord. Cod rodent chew damage this spring. repair or replace? If replace (that's where I'm leaning) should I replace with a male plug and new power cord? Any tips to do so would be great. Thanks.

Clearly a lot of people have been annoyed by the noise of generators. I can't speak for anyone else, by I always take great care to be respectful of other campers. Thanks to everyone for your input.

Sounds like most folks are not fans of generators. How about the 3000 watt inverter?  good compromise? Checked on the twin Yamahas. Can't touch them or Hondas for less than $999.00 each plus parallel hook up. Costcos are not real Yamaha inverters.

2013 Summerland 2570. Dometic 300 series toilet. Was not sealing well. I was "snapping it shut" to close it. Bad idea. Spring cartridge broke. Spring shot out. Cylinder broke. Need to be replaced. How difficult is it to replace the foot pedal spring cartridge on that unit?

Planning a trip late summer/early fall from upstate NY to Montana. Will be spending big $$$ on fuel. Wondering if there is a common gas station across the country? Maybe I could get a card with customer rewards to save money. Cash back on fuel spending? Trying to think of any details. Never...

we were planning big trip from upstate NY to the west for mid July to mid August, but wondering if big parks (yellowstone, G. Tetons etc.) are full and crowds are thick. Better time to travel. Any thoughts?

One more question. Also looking at national park campsites. We usually glamp in private campsites with full hookups. I have no problem with boondocking. Looking for a small generator mostly to charge my battery. "Suitcase" type generators are usually around 1600 or 1700 watts. Should be good?
