    Tires

another thing to consider, that I was not aware of until I upgraded my tires from D to E, the wheels have to be rated for the higher pressure. Mine D wheels were not rated for the pressure of an E tire so had to get new wheels as well

Estimate Truck Rear GAWR Margin with 5th Wheel

not sure where your numbers are from, but I owned a 2001 Dodge 3500 dually, payload was well over 5000, GAWR rear was close to 9k, this pdf shows even more for a 2019 so I don't see how a 15.5k 5er is going to put that much truck in a bind...

    Pet Temperature Monitoring

simple basic monitor system - DON'T leave your pets alone in the RV. Never fails, in compliance with ALL campground rules, never have to worry about barking, temp, lack of water or food. So very simple. Why do people take pets when they don't want to be responsible for them?

To balance or not to balance ??

agreed, but I did say I wanted it done, my reasons are my own, and yes it will be additional revenue for the retailer but again, it was my choice so not really a valid concern

New Heavy Duty 4" bumper with smaller inside dimensions, drain hose doesn't fit inside

or... go to a big box store, get a 8 ft section of 6x6 vinyl fence post, 2 caps, a couple hinges and locks, and strap it (heavy duty zip ties) to the existing bumper. Rhino slinky fits great inside it

    Tire Change Procedure

check for a decal above the tires, my TT requires 110 ft lbs torque, so you need to know what YOUR rig requires, there is not a standard

    Lets talk water filtration.

a question regarding filters and smelly hot water - I the yr before last I used the blue camco filters to fill my tanks etc and never had a problem with smelly hot water. Last yr I switched to the camco evo filter with a carbon filter and got the smelly water. As Gary stated I had to sanitize it...

    Portable propane generator experience

I have the champion 3500 dual fuel. I tried it on a 20lb propane tank and it lasted a few days, only using it for running the AC from about 12pm to maybe 5pm. When that was gone it was easier to get gas down the road so switched to that and it seems the 5 gal of gas lasted almost a week running...

CNN Article on camping at Walmart

after hearing how great it was to stay free in Walmart I tried it. While it was not horrible, nor did I feel I was risking my life, I probably will not do it again. The lights made it feel like 7am all night. There were at least 12 other RVS, most running generators, but the worst part was when...

    Neowise Comet

it was a near perfect night, no haze and the other campers were dark at 12:30 am :)

    Neowise Comet

Nikon D3200, ISO set to 3200, tripod, manual setting, F 5.6 exposure of 30", basic 18 to 55 lens zoomed in (all that may or may not be the correct syntax still learning all the settings) I think the exposure gave the slight out of focus since it was long and allowed for movement

Laundry on the road during Covid 19

I have been at campgrounds where bathrooms are closed but none yet where the laundry was closed. That is since beginning of May.

    Storing plates

I have Corelle, but I found a plastic container purpose made for plates etc. It is about 4 inches wide, higher on one end than the other, stores the plates on edge. It holds 4 plates, 4 saucers, 4 bowls. Been bouncing around in the cabinet for about 6000 miles so far and not problems. Takes up...
