    generator starting

Sounds like the generator is wired to start from the house battery which is weak. When you start the engine, the chassis and house batteries are connected together so they can both be charged by the alternator. When this happens, the combination of the 2 batteries is providing enough current to...

    RV Electrical Issue

Definitely replace the GFCI outlet.  Usually when 120 VAC breakers fail, they fail in the "off" position and will not pass power to the circuit but they are inexpensive so I would replace it if in any doubt. Be sure to disconnect from shore, generator and inverter power before opening the...

Air over Hydraulic versus Full Air Brakes

I can't speak for very early the Blue Bird Wanderlodges but since at least the late 1970's all Wanderlodges have a robust commercial air brake system, not air over hydraulic.

    Generators

One only has to do a search of a few RV Forums to turn up hundreds of posters requesting information on converting from LP to diesel generators. I've never seen a post looking to convert from diesel to LP.

counter top induction cooker, anyone use one?

Don't know anything about that particular unit but induction cooking is generally faster than gas and much faster than electric.  Keep in mind that all induction cookers are not created equally. Huge time difference between low power inexpensive units and quality, high wattage units...

    Basement storage locks

Here is another manufacturer of locks/latches used on some coaches. http://pdf.directindustry.com/pdf/happich/locks-locking-devices/14805-332003.html

    Repairing cracked corian countertop

Take it to an area kitchen and bath dealer who does installations. They should be able to make an invisible repair and eliminate the stress point so it does not happen again.

    in floor heating

You don't say how large a gas (LP) furnace you are trying to replace with under floor heat but keep in mind that, with resistance type heating, you will get 3.413 BTU's per watt. If you are replacing a 30,000 BTU furnace you will need roughly 8800 watts to equal the same amount of heat output...

    Black tank question

I don't believe that a "pile" is to blame because the odor would have already been present if that was the cause. If there was no odor at 1/4 tank and you added water to 1/2 tank, you had to push air out the vent. In rare, very calm situations, the odors pushed up the vent may be detected...

    Carbon Monoxide

From E-How, Bold Face added by me. Causes The possible causes of a carbon monoxide detector sounding a false alarm are many and varied. Setting aside obvious causes such as design flaws and electronic malfunctions, installing a carbon monoxide detector in an area of high humidity or in rooms...

    High hours on the generator

Average life of a quality diesel generator running at 1500 RPM and well maintained is 20,000 to 25,000 hours. You are probably not going to ever wear it out.

    Have you guys seen this?

Notice that the picture from inside the windshield shows a different wiper system than the outside view. I'd bet these are computer generated concept photos and the rig does not exist.

    Ae power awning

Sounds like something is binding while closing causing the motor to stall and trip out. Could also be a faulty overload protection device. Here is a link to the manual. http://janeandjohn.org/docs/AwningManual.pdf

    Frig on or Off

The last RV refrigerator I had was on continuously for 12 years except for the occasional defrost and is still going strong as far as I know. (It is 17+ years old now.) Many tech's have said that the lifespan is similar whether or not you shut it down or keep it running. I have no scientific...

What happens if you advance the timer a click when this happens? If it starts up again you may have a bad timer.
