    new RV battery

If you  are going to be dependent on your battery and really want to care for it. Then do consider upgrading your converter to one that has multi charge rates available. A multistage charger will give you peace of mind leaving your trailer plugged up all the time.  As Gary mentioned the...

Hey Admin - We need a thread for product reviews - Portable Ice Maker for Xmas

Like Bob I too have the Magic Chef. Had it for over 3 years now. Love it. Matter of fact I bought 2 as 'scratch and dents' at a too good a price to pass up! Gave 1 to my son as a present. Have had no issues with mine. Works great and will start producing ice quick, quicker if you add some ice...

    completely plugged black water tank

Water and RidX or a similar septic tank additive. Let it work for several days before dumping. This may take several tries. Also if you have to travel to a dump site, dump a bag of ice down before you leave. The ice slushing around will help break up the solids.

Driver foot switch -- what is it?

If it's a gas engine, could be the switch for a Gear Vendor under/overdrive unit. Looks like the old dimmer switches. Controlls the unit when it's set to 'manual'.

2013 LED Lighting Discount at rvledbulbs.com

Wish I had known about the discount.. Ohwell. Anyway I have purchased several lights from them and have been extremely pleased. Replaced the lights over the beds with the single light dimmable units. Really great. The real winner is the unit I installed in my bathroom that is upgradable to have...

Do you use an electric blanket or electric matress pad?

I have 12 V mattress warmers and love them. I've read in various places that the new models of electric blankets and modified sine wave inverters do not work well at all.

    Sandy Prep

Put your levelers down for some added stability. Additionally I'd plug it in to keep the battery charged and start the refrigerator, just in case you lose power. Fill the propane tanks. Boy Scout motto is "Be Prepared". I take that a step further. Be prepared or prepare to be miserable.
