    Goodbye, wish you all well!

Sold our RV, learned SO much here, wanted to say thanks. Travelled Mexico, decided to buy a house on Cozumel to run away to... Don't be afraid of Mexico - over 5000 miles, never a second of fear or worry. Mostly sleeping on the side of the road at Pemex, or very out of the way places. Great...

High Pitch Cicada Sound from Ford Auto Trany

Had the front seal replaced in Salina Cruz, MX. Still get a chirp from time to time. And yes, the Mexican mechanics did a GREAT job!

    Drinking in campgrounds?

To clarify a bit more - anyone behind the driver or front seat passenger MAY consume alcohol while on public roads in Colorado! RV's got tied in with limos.

    Colorado travel plans

I was and am against any new legislation. I have loaded, unlocked guns throughout my house. Don't bring any kids here. Rancher Will apparently does not understand the new legislation. There was a lot of false information flying around. Cops don't get to decide what laws to enforce and which...

    Colorado travel plans

Not sure how any of the new legislation will effect you - anything you own prior to July 1 is grandfathered. The new laws cover new purchases. Don't get me wrong - I am not in favor of gun regulation, but to say you won't be coming to Colorado is because of the new laws is, in my opinion, foolish.

    Crossing the Rockies? Advice Please!

Have crossed I 70 many times, as well as Berthoud Pass on wy 40. Piece of cake. My 94 Bounder Ford 460 never dropped below 45-50.

    So excited to point south!

Three weeks in, been a blast! Had to have the front seal replaced in the tranny, part overnighted from Mexico City. With $20 American tips to each of the mechanics (4) anyone want to guess the total cost?! Nothing but waves and smiles, and we have travelled into the backcountry! Sleeping at...

    Impact Wrench Recommendation

I bought a corded DeWalt Impact, delivers about 500 ftpounds of force. Bought it to help do the shock replacement, what a great tooll! Power enough for the wheel nuts as well - have a nice heavy cord for it. My 18V cordless DeWalt is also one of the best tools I own, and I have a trailer full...

    New Truck Shopping

That Toyota ad makes me laugh. The tugs at airports routinely move 900,000# pound planes. I was always a Chevy guy. Bought a new 3/4 ton Silverado 2500HD Duramax in 05. Can't wait to sell it - GM could give a crap about quality and integrity. Look elsewhere is my advice.

    dual pane windows

Couple drives over a mountain pass and you probably lose your argon... Was an issue building houses around 9000 feet.

    Snowbirds Post Here!

Crossing the border into Mexico Dec 28 for a two or more month tour, down the gulf, circle the Yucatan, cut across through the Chapala region, PV, then Matamoros, Hermisillo, then back into the states somewhere. Cold and snowing here in Denver, ugh.

    Jumping in with both feet!

Cool coach! I would bet you have some chewed wires or loose connections, had a marmot take out my rear view camera cable. Chances are you might get everything working again without a lot of money if you spend some time tracking the issues down. That was my experience, anyway. Good luck. If you...

Could have been serious - manufacturers are no help

I would make sure to get high quality bolts - hardened, quality steel with the rating stamped on the head. Those look ard reacted like el cheapo bolts.
