On my light fixtures, I was able to replace just the bulbs and keep the original light fixtures.  The attached photo shows an original "hot" bulb on one side and an LED replacement bulb on the other side.

I can bend over that far.  It's getting to stand up straight afterwards that is the problem.  ;D
