    another tire question

I Have always heard that tires should be replaced every 5-7 years because they were from the inside out. I have a boat and trailer and the tires were 20 years old and still looked good for the age. No cracks on the outside at all. I asked the tire dealer about tires and replacing them every 7...

Airconditioning/heater vent on Class A not closing?

Let me make it simple, what ever the tempature is out side while driving, thats the tempature that comes in through the dash. The vent will not close. I don't care if it cold outside, but when your driving in 90 degree weather and the roof top air is blowing cold air, its still 90 degrees coming...

Airconditioning/heater vent on Class A not closing?

In the summer it gets really hot here in Riverside, Ca about 110 degrees. We use the roof air when we are traveling. The dash air does not work which is ok but we are always getting hot air from outside when we are going down the road. We move the knob on the air/heater but it does not seem to...

    Rude People

We were camping last weekend in Big bear, CA. We pulled in with our 32 class motorhome, car and tow dolly which is 52 feet. We stopped next to our site on the paved road and starting unhooking our car. A woman came up to me and said " how long are you going to be?" in a rude tone. I looked up...

    RVs not to buy

I was lucky when I bought my Monterey by Cobra 1992. I know they are not made anymore, and I bought mine for about 12,000. 32' and in good shape for the age. I drove it and checked out everything. Of course I knew I was going to put money into it, anything that age is going to need work. I like...

    Heater won't heat

I'll try recharging the batteries first, then go from there. I haven't charge them in a while but did add water not to long ago.

Toilet seal in bowl leaking out

While working on the heater I decided to clean the toilet flap seal with a toothbrush. I cleaned it really well and put water in it again. It leaked out again. I pushed on the flap lightly and it went down a little. I think the part that seals it needs replacing. The pressure from he water is...

    Heater won't heat

I check the battery and it was reading 12.5 volts. Then I check the voltage at the heater and it was 10.5 volts. I turned on the thermostat  and within 30 seconds the heater kicked on and was blowing hot.  Do you think maybe because its not used very much it just takes time for it to light?  It...

    Heater won't heat

I left it on for about 20 minutes and still cold air. No clicking sound. The heat used to come on after about 1  to 2 minutes. Should I try running my generator to get it to light? If the batteries were low, would the lights inside be low too, or not ?

    Water Heater Question

I have owned my motorhome for about a year and have never used the water heater. We are going camping next week were it is cold. Once I fill the water heater with water and turn the water heater switch on, how long does it take to heat the water before it is hot. I am asking this beacuse I was...

    Heater won't heat

We have a motorhome with a heater. We have 4 register vents in the floor. When I turn the thermostat on I can hear the blower come on, but I never hear a clinking sound like the heater trying to light. Our last trip it took about 3 times turning the thermostat on and off to finally get it to...

Pictures of my sealed rubber roof

Liquid roof is 46 square feet per gallon at about 20 mill thick. Its not cheap but I only wanted to do it once. Some cheaper ones you have to reseal every year. This one has a 5 year warranty. Do it right the first time or you might regret it later.  You figure you have a huge investment under...

    Diesel Motorhome for $16,900 1993

I saw this on ebay. A diesel class A 1993 Safari 31'  I would not buy a motorhome on ebay, but it did catch my eye. It sounds too cheap for the year and shape. I know diesel is expensive but $16,900. I paid $12,000 for my 1992 gaser. Item number 230234399595. It did not reach the reserve.  :o
