    Winnebago tool kit

I'm told I'll get one year of Coach Net and my Progressive insurance comes with roadside assistance, but I'd like to have some basics for the easy stuff.  Why wait for someone to show up if I can take care of it myself in 20 minutes. I'm sure I'll laugh at this statement a year from now...  I'm...

    Winnebago tool kit

Thanks so much, those are great ideas.  So I'll need metric and SAE?  Was hoping everything was built using one standard.  I wonder why they use both variations on one coach? I have no clue about electric and wouldn't know what to do with a multimeter even if I had one!

    Winnebago tool kit

I just put a deposit on a new 2020 Winnebago Adventurer 30T and will be picking it up at the end of March. I'd like to start putting together a general tool kit to take along with me.  I'm wondering if the screws, bolts, lug nuts, etc. are metric, standard or a combination of both.  Also, any...

Winnebago consolidating their gas Class A coach lines

Thanks all!  After 5 years of searching, and finally finding the right floorplan, I was bummed to think I'd have to pay more for it when we're ready to buy in a couple months.  But then again, I'm taking all your advice and buying used, so I guess it won't make a difference after all.  Just hate...

Winnebago consolidating their gas Class A coach lines

I went to the Philadelphia RV show today and was told by a dealer that Winnebago has consolidated their many lines of gas Class A coaches.  As of midway through their 2019 production, they have narrowed things down to the Intent, Vista and Adventurer.  The others are no longer being produced.  I...

Minimum used mileage to get the bugs out?

99Dart, That's exactly what I'm referring to.  If it's a used 2018, 1000 miles doesn't seem like enough.  It almost seems like a race to use it enough before that one year warranty runs out so I can figure out what needs to be fixed on the manufacturer's dime.

Minimum used mileage to get the bugs out?

A friend and former co-worker of my husband's has been RV'ing his whole life and does all his own work on his (A) and his parent's (5th wheel) RV's and is a mechanic.  He's going to go over whatever motorhome we decide to set our sights on.  If we decide to go too far away, we'll definitely hire...

Minimum used mileage to get the bugs out?

When is used not used enough?  I assume any used RV saves you the depreciation hit (correct me if I'm wrong), but how many miles is enough to figure that most of the bugs are worked out?  If there's a prior year model available used but it's only got 1000 miles, vs a prior year that has 3000 or...

    Steep Driveway

Most of the time I'd be coming and going on my own so castors or air bags would work better than having to parking on the street and moving wood or ramps around.  I did have one dealer offer to let us take a test drive to our house, but we weren't in any position to buy yet so didn't want to...

    Steep Driveway

Isaac, you're correct.  The first is a Class C, the second is a short Class A.  Both are gas engines. I didn't realize that airbags could be added aftermarket.  Especially on Class C's. Would an airbag system make up for that 3? difference?  If so, the cost would definitely be worth it for us...

    Steep Driveway

I measured our driveway and came up with a 9? grade.  I haven't measured the street yet but it does have a very slight crown. One RV that I really love has a 6? departure angle (220" wheelbase), another one we're considering has an 8.2? departure angle (208" wheelbase).  (All measuremets...

    Ordering RV from dealer

Okay, now I've got it.  Sometimes you have to hear things said in a slightly different way before they sink in.  This is a great point.  One of the things I kept in the back of my mind was dealing with someone local since they've said they put their buyers ahead of others in their shop...

    Ordering RV from dealer

Thanks for all the info.  So it's more a matter of shopping for the best price than haggling back and forth. I live in NJ (near Philly) but am willing to travel, even fly somewhere, to pick up the right coach that will fit our needs. I'm not sure what you mean by this, Wasoki.

    Ordering RV from dealer

I've found the perfect floor plan, (Thor 31Y), but they've only offer it for a couple years so I haven't found many used ones for sale.  I know it's normal, and expected, to haggle for price when shopping at a dealer, but what about when you're ordering a new RV from a dealer?  I figure since...
