Tetons, Colter Bay RV Park, Back In Sites

We were there early last Sept and from what I recall there are two RV Parks at Coulter Bay; one with hookups and reservations and one without hookups and operates on a first come first serve.  I know the later RV campground is ran by the park service, not sure about the first.  I'm sure someone...

    TV mounting question

We used just a regular TV mount, just like at home, that does not move.  We put a small electric fireplace in the hole that was created from the old TV.  It works really well to heat the living area too!!!!

remodel of our 1999 Holiday Rambler Vacationer

We ordered our furniture from Brad and Hall in Indiana.  We drove to the store and looked around the show room, had an opportunity to try several styles and then decided to special order what we want. The couch has two recliners and is very comfortable!!!!

    Yellowstone late Aug/early Sep

We were in Yellowstone September 5 and 6th last year, and there were daytime highs of about 34 and the lows I believe around 24 degrees. We were able to get a spot at fishing bridge campground just a week before we got there. I do know that they had a us unhook our water in the evening time...

remodel of our 1999 Holiday Rambler Vacationer

We added new furniture, new flooring, new countertops, a dishwasher, fireplace, and new TVs. We removed the table because we always eat outside, and another small chair that just took up space. For us having a little bit extra breathing room was more important because there is no slide out in...

remodel of our 1999 Holiday Rambler Vacationer

We have had our holiday Rambler Vacationer for two years now and have been slowly updating it along the way. When they first purchased it we were so excited that we immediately started camping and began planning the renovations we wanted to do during the wintertime. We have had a couple pop-up...

    TV mounting question

Yep, we sure did. I had a moment of d?j? vu when I looked at your picture, we also have a Holiday Rambler that is a 1999. It's been up for two years and we went about 8000 miles never had a problem. My husband said he mounted into the studs.

    Western States Vacation

It can be done, but if you like hookups then get reservations.  We were gone 5 weeks after school had started, and maybe had hookups about 6 nights.  Everywhere we went there was rental campers, and they were in the organized campgrounds.  We dry camped on BLM and State/National forests.

    Western States Vacation

When we were at the Grand Tetons at the beginning of September we stayed at Coulter Bay campground. We arrived a bit after noon that day, it is a first come campground.  We did get into the generator loop, which was nice because it was in the lower 30's at night.  From what I remember, the...

    Western States Vacation

We just came home at the beginning of Oct from a 5 week trip from all of these places.  We did not have reservations for the most part; we like to travel without restrictions. Having said that we were not able to get into MANY places.  We stayed on BLM land and National Forests, with...

Buying a Used Class A Out of State?

We have purchased two out of state campers and have not had a problem. We live in west central Illinois and bought one about an hour south of Indianapolis and our last one from Detroit area.  I also bought my car a year ago from the Minneapolis area. My brother does live by Detroit so we did...

    SAVING MONEY

We prefer to by used and fix up for several reasons, one is to save a few dollars and also because we like to change it to our personal taste.   My husband really enjoys the work (personally I think he's crazy), but he is the work horse while I take care of design.  I personally don't care for...
