    Heart issues and RVing...

I was just told that I have heart issue whereas one artery pumps more than the other. The result is that I may have a stent installed to relieve the problem. What kind of issues  if any, do people face on the road? Is it advisable to go on long RV trips? I wouls hate to give up the RV lifestyle...

    Batteries

Take your rig to the nearest Camping World. They will determine the kind you need and install the batteries at a fair price.

    Mirror problem ...

I have a 2011 Fleetwood Southwind. The right side mirror cannot be adjusted from the dash control, while the left mirror is fine. Has anyone had any experience with rhis type of problem? What did you do about It? Also, would replacing the current switch resolve the issue. Thank you.

    Sale of motorhome

Do not take a check of any kind. Even cashier's checks can be forged. Have the buyer wire transfer the money into your account.

    RV Slide out problems

I had a similar problem with my  Class C during a trip to Alaska. It turned out to be a plastic gear in the slide unit  that failed. It cost me about $200 to replace at an RV garage.

    Alaska questions

We did Alaska in 2011 ... from Florida. It was a loooooong trip, but rewarding. Saw lots of animals and it was cold in June and July. Snow never goes away and the temps can drop into the 20s and 30s during the summer months. The Alaska Highway is rough, sometimes like a washboard for hundreds of...

    RV Expenses

Owning and maintaining a motor home is not cheap, but the benefits far outweigh the faults. There are ways to save money. I learned how to do my own preventative maintenance. That saves about $1500 annually. This year ... at age 76 ... I stopped doing oil changes and lube jobs. I now have it...

    Setting the tire pressure

I fill all my tires to 95 psi. That seems to work best for my rig.  I check air pressure before each trip. Been doing this for years with no issues.

    Anyone try "Mouse-Free"?

I use a Riddex unit. It's an electronic box that keeps away all pests. If you do get a visit from a mouse, set up a few traps baited with peanut butter. Don't use rodent poison. The mouse will crawl behind a wall and die. The smell is difficult to get rid of ... and lingers for a loooooong time.

    Should we or shouldn't we!

We are in the same financial position as you. We've been RVing for 7 years and love it. We usually go on one extended trip of 3, 4 months out west from Florida and a few lesser 2, 3 week trips 1,000 miles (round trip) or less from home. It's always a great experience, but it is also always good...

my Triton V10 im not so happy

The Ford V10s are loud. I tend not to use cruise control up and down hills. I use the steering wheel cruise controls and stay off auto pilot as much as possible.

Living in camper what is best for wifi

Try Consumer Cellular. You can use your smart phone as a hotshot, or buy a portable hotshot that you can turn on and off between trips. We have two smart phones and a hotshot for $87 a month.

    wifi and cell service

You will not have cell phone service in all of Canada if you have American service. RV park Wifi at Canadian and some Alaskan locations is spotty to nil. Remember that you will be in some desolate places.

    Fridge door clips

I made clips out of two plastic pants hangers. Figure out the angles the clips need to go, get a propane torch to make the plastic bendable, and twist to fit.
