Bluetooth LP gauge for fixed tanks

Indeed it is. That $119 for the three piece kit is now on sale for just $89 on Amazon. Thanks much!

Bluetooth LP gauge for fixed tanks

Thanks for that. I assumed it would be quite expensive but $120 to monitor two tanks is rather reasonable in my opinion. Even $45 for the WiFi gateway isn't bad (I just don't need it, yet at least).

'95 conquest hot water heater replacement wiring HELP!!!

What brand and model is the new hot water heater? By the wiring colors I assume Girard? If so you don't want to involve any 120v wiring (the black/white/copper). You just need to find out which of the three camper wires are for 12V+ and 12V-. Then 12V+ connects to the new HWH red and 12V- to new...

'95 conquest hot water heater replacement wiring HELP!!!

I assumed, when she mentioned instant (on demand) hot water heater, that she meant via propane. I don't see too many (any?) electric instant hot water (tankless) options for an RV with only a 30A electrical hookup. The Girard-GSWH-2 has the same wiring colors the OP mentioned, blue/blue for...

    Electric Slideout Failure

Have you been able to at least manually retract the slides? There should be a square fitting on the motor for manually operation.

Dometic RM8501 refrigerator has no display lights and does not function

I had a similar situation with a NorCold a few months ago, but my D/C voltage was closer to 10.5v. That in turn was due to a loose connection from the battery to the converter (so check that). But in my case the eyebrow display worked, as well as the inside light. But it wasn't enough for the...

    Computer question

As others have pointed out, 16GB RAM is hardly anemic. Beyond that, that laptop's maximum RAM capacity is 16GB. It's already maxed out. The best thing the OP can do to speed it up is add an SSD. By "add" I mean replace the 1TB spinner as boot drive with SSD. That is if there is only a (slowish)...

    Water heater upgrades

You didn't mention depth, but the Suburban will be a few inches longer in depth (16-7/8" Atwood vs. 19-3/16" Suburban). Presumably you have taken that into consideration?

    N8V Norcold fridge

To be clear, when on propane, does the burner stay lit or does it cycle off relatively quickly? If it stays lit, how long did you wait before switching back to A/C? I ask in the hope that it might be an A/C heating element, a much easier and less expensive fix than a cooling unit. But as...

    Amazing

That's what I immediately thought when I first saw it. Lot's of customized, or purpose built, RVs out there. Like those I have seen at carnivals or fairs for the workers. At first glance they just look like a regular 5th wheel or TT. Then I realized they had wayyyy too many doors. They were...

hard water at campgrounds... do you use additive?

I was at an ACE Hardware when that Nuvo thing caught my eye. I was looking into an On The Go unit at the time, but was concerned about the manual regeneration process. So the Nuvo H20 seemed like a good option. There was a factory/marketing rep there going on and on about how amazing and...

    HELP Electrical problem

Hold on there.... Is the converter running via its own 120V connection (i.e., not getting its power from the RV's A/C connection)? Is that to isolate it with its own power source, or is the whole RV running from that 30A, presumably dog bone, adapter? If the latter than both legs will be running...

    Refrigerator Question

You are probably hearing the rear fan(s) kick in. They run on 12v but do not draw very much power. They help move the hot air up and away, which helps the cooling unit do its job. If they are going on and off it is due to a thermostat sensing they need to be on.  The cooling unit itself has no...
