    White stuff falling

Wishing you good luck on the "white Christmas".  When we lived in "lake effect" Indiana, we loved the early show falls and "dreaming of a white Christmas". Here now in So. FL I heard the other day that one of our local Malls has trucked in "snow" for the locals to enjoy. Don't think the...

    Inkjet printers - argh!

I have had really good luck with HP inkjet printers but I routinely find something I want to keep a print.  I try to take a picture of my campsites and CG's plus copies of posts here that contain useful info for future trips and possible problems I might have.  I cannot remember the last time I...

    50 amp problems

Well, "3 or 4 1500 watt heaters" is certainly one way to go about heating a (circus?) tent, but I'm wondering if all that is really needed. DW and I have camped routinely in Nov/Dec in the NC mountains wherever we could find cg's open and with temps mildly below 30 degrees with a floored tent...

Use Michelin tires on 5th Wheel?

I doubt they were worried about putting that size tire on the 5th.  Keystone put a decal on the front of the trailer that prints out the size tire to use, and that is what they put on.  It's my obligation to keep the weight down and tires filled.  Thanks for your comments.

Use Michelin tires on 5th Wheel?

Gary, thanks.  I'm too far up the road to be able to take those tires back, but I'll certainly keep what you said in mind as we load the trailer!

Use Michelin tires on 5th Wheel?

Thanks for the comments and suggestions!  I didn't give all the details in my first post so here are a few more. I took my 5th out of summer-heat storage, loaded her up, checked tire pressures, and headed out.  A couple of hours later, midway on the Florida Turnpike, a good samaritan pulled up...

The "Maybe we should sell it" conversation came up today.....

Fritz, you are getting some good advice here, and if nothing else, you are getting a good opportunity to vent and to sort through your thoughts vs feelings.  For many years, I managed Retirement Communities, Assisted Living, Nursing Homes, and Home Health.  During that time, I met with...

Use Michelin tires on 5th Wheel?

I know that Michelin LT tires are considered to be good for the tow trucks, but what about using  Michelin LTX 235/85/16 E tires on my 2010 Keystone Montana 36footer?  Tire dealer says ok, but also says radial tires are no longer made.  I'm wondering if anyone uses Michelin LT tires on their 5th...

    Question for Montana owners

We have an 3400RL floor plan and love it.  Our ideal is to back into a water-side site and open the wall-to-wall rear windows for a panoramic view.  I use the computer desk daily, and the fireplace ambience on a cold night  - ah! The previous owner traveled over most of the country with a F250...

    Dish pay as you go

My understanding is that you pay for 30 days up front.  Then, you either renew for another 30 days, or let it drop without further payment.

My truck says I have poor quality DEF

I'm also skeptical of the message.  This is an old topic but still of interest I think for modern diesel users.  The original post about a "Poor Quality DEF" message was posted in August.  I have been looking at information on shelf life of DEF and have noted that DEF is said not to store well...

RV Resorts/Campgrounds on the beach in FL?

A popular place is Fort Clinch State Park in Fernandina Beach, FL.  Good luck on getting in, though!

    Trailer cover

Been there; done that.  When we had our TT, South Florida, in storage except for short trips, we bought a new Adco cover and used it for a year and threw it away. You will have to be careful that no mildew sets in under the wrap.  Every thunderstorm can have strong winds to tear away gaskets...

    Stupid People!!!

Someday I want to be behind one of those Brinks or whatever money trucks when they forget to shut the back doors.  Snap-On Tools or whatever?  Beer?  ;D

Lakeside Site - Fish or Good Manners?

OK, I can understand your points.  Our campsite was in a County campground with a lake and although there were a lot of campsites on the lake, not many sites actually had an open area to cast into the lake.  I like to fish and therefore know that our lakeside access, no beaches, would be very...
