We are driving from Mesa AZ to the Florida Keys just after Christmas.  Has anyone been on I-10 lately and if so, what is the condition of the road?  We've heard it's pretty rough in Louisiana and Mississippi.  My husband is suggesting taking 20 into Alabama, 80 to Montgomery and dropping south...

We stayed at James Island County Park outside Charleston and it was beautiful.  I think at that time they even had a bus that went by to take you into CHarleston.  The bike trails were very nice also.    And in the summer, I think they had a water park there also. Lynne

Thanks for the reply.  The main reason it looked interesting was that it had a park in El Golfo on the Sea of Cortez which looked like it would be good for fishing.  We'll think twice about it. Lynne

Anyone out there a member of Colorado River Adventures?  I just received their brochure which looks interesting.  No pricing was indicated.  Is it one of those memberships where they have sold so many it's impossible to get in? Lynne
