    Thoughts on Winter Covers

Going into our first winter with the TT. Just winterized the plumbing yesterday. Wanted to get thoughts/opinions on full trailer covers and/or AC covers. Worth the investment? We don't have constant snow where we live in Colorado, but we can easily get a foot at a time. Thankfully it melts...

How long will water stay fresh?

Just remember...if you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room! 8)

Recap of our first year with our new coach

Thanks for the positive story. I had a post a while back regarding our purchase of a used Lance 2385 TT. After getting it home we found a problem with the underside of the slide moisture barrier. Got it repaired. Here's where it get's good! Got everything we needed to finally take it out...

    Damaged Vinyl Sheeting Under Slide

Got it fixed. Thanks for all the ideas. Some were right on track. Here's what happened...This is what I call a Design Error. I called Lance and they had a fix, 6" wide sheet metal strips and rivets. They said take it to a dealer, dealer said they have fixed a bunch of these. Lance now makes the...

Here we go... Camping World again

I am new to RVing. Bought my TT from CW and after a couple of months I too have some negative feelings about them. Got an email from Walmart. They are going to match donations I believe for the Red Cross...Here you go... 2:1! Up to $10 million dollars. Take that Marcus! Just go to Walmart.com...

    September Colorado Trip

As I said before (see quote). All the posts sum it up. Anywhere you go there is something to see and do in CO. Some are more crowded and busier than others, but you're coming in Sept. and you'll start getting some leaf-peepers but tourist season ends by Labor day, so it shouldn't be too bad. I...

Need Advice on TT Leveling and Chocking

I just looked at your link. Those look pretty "sweet" and easy. I'm glad I haven't purchased any others yet. I saw on Amazon you can get them with a rubber no-slid pad that goes under them.

    Leave No Trace!

It's a given, an RV is not like a tent, but I've seen tent campers leave a bigger mess than an RVer and you usually drive a car to the campsite. Also, you can do things like solar to curb some of the energy issues. It's just not a perfect world, even for Elon! I agree, it does start with a...

    Leave No Trace!

I have recently read about some incidents of how people leave and treat natural areas when camping and RVing. After about 12 years of Scouting involvement with my son going through Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and becoming an Eagle Scout, it wasn't only him who was learning some great traits, but me...

    Damaged Vinyl Sheeting Under Slide

I was poking around the TT with the slide out and discovered the vinyl sheeting on the bottom of the slide has some wear where it slides on the rollers and is kind of torn up where it sits on the rollers when it's retracted. Any ideas at least for a temporary fix? Maybe wide duct tape along the...

    Storing Propane tanks

I would assume storing a 5# or 10# bottle would need the same ventilation as a regular 20#. How about in the bed of my tow vehicle? Better than the trailer storage? Gary RV_Wizard: we may be selling our house in CO and heading to NC. Any good CG suggestions in the Black Mountain area?
