    5/8" Water Inlet

Just so everybody is clear....I am custom building the entire trailer myself.  I can put in 2? pipe if I want all the way to the faucets haha. My main concern is not RV parks.  Ill mainly be on oilfield locations where I can use as much water as I can handle.  In addition my water pump is...

    5/8" Water Inlet

Dutch, I am piping it myself and using 3/4" so I can get full flow. Lou, Interesting.  Several other sites and reviews say it is "faux chrome" plastic.  I ordered one as this is the best option I have found so far.  Will report back what it actually is. Gary, I should have more clearly said...

    5/8" Water Inlet

Has anybody seen an actual solid chrome or brass water inlet for a 5/8" hose?  All I have found so far is this "feaux chromed" plastic.  https://www.amazon.com/SHURFLO-183-029-14-Pressure-Reducing-Chrome/dp/B002OUPFOU/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=Shurflo+Flush+Mount&qid=1599520091&sr=8-3 Josh

    Tow ability?

I think 18 to 22 is the magical number.  Every trailer I have of that length is easy to back.  My 10 ft welding trailer is a nightmare! Josh

Pulling a TT 60 years ago

I wasn?t alive 60 years ago but I was 40.  I think a a couple key things are different. 1 - IBTripping hit on it.  Cars, and trucks, back then weighed a lot more.  The tail was not wagging the dog.  I remember by Grandmothers old Pontiac...I could barely open the door on that thing at age 8 and...

    Loving the RV Lifestyle

Tom5555, Funny enough I have actually done something similar to what Robin Williams did hanging on the front of the camper.  Growing up one of my Dad?s friends was building his own sawmill.  I was out there hunting one day and he asked me to ?help him? move a piece of equipment with a gin pole...

    Custom Trailer

SeilerBird, I am in agreement with you and the way I stated it was not perfect.  Trailer will be used in one or the other "mode".  Electric heat or A/C with propane fired hot water heater (more likely) or gas heat with electric hot water heater.  The trailer is going to spend a lot of time at...

    Custom Trailer

Got heaters and A/Cs set in.  Waiting on licensed plumber and electrician to come in and run electrical and gas connections then it will be time for insulation. Josh

    2020 GM 2500HD Max Tongue only 500 lbs ?

I have found GM hands down to be the worst when it comes down to publishing and making it easy to find weight and tow ratings.  Ford in my opinion is the easiest.  I also find GM tends to under rate versus the other two manufacturers. On my Chevy 5500 there is not one thing in / on the truck...

    Dolly or Blue Ox?

Looking at that etrailer system I think it is more meant for moving around older Jeeps on blacktops in the country.  That?s what I?ve used that style for.  The pins hooking the tow bar to the bumper brackets on it are the most concerning to me.  Not clear on the pin size but those are typically...

Swapping 20 gal electric water heater with 7 gal tankless wiring question

7 gal definitely doesn?t mean 7 gpm tankless.  At 30 amps you get about a 6kw tankless heater which is only good for about 1.5 gpm.

    Dump Valves

Grashley, Was just rereading this post.  I completely miss understood your recommendation.  Yes that will work by having a Female CAMLOK x Stinky Slinky crossover with knife gate I install at the trailer connection when dumping at a dump station.  For some reason when I read your suggestion I...

    Upgrading battery bay

Find a welding shop, preferably a one man show. Tell him what you need and I bet he could fab you something out of aluminum at a reasonable price to hold the four batteries.  Definitely cheaper than the $2,500. Josh

    Another Rear View Camera Question

Jkoht, Considered that but I?m horrible at returning stuff.  As for troubleshooting it will be simple. All of my wiring in my trailer is surface or conduit mounting as trailer is for work and does not need to be aesthetically appealing.  Wire goes bad I would just replace it. Ex-Calif. I?m not...
