    ADCO RV covers

Thanks for the reply. Since I last posted, I have found out that ADCO is aware of the faulty straps and are sending me a new cover. This transaction is being looked after by the dealer where I bought the cover, so that is good. Hope the actual cover lasts at least three years or longer.

    ADCO RV covers

My previous ADCO RV cover lasted 1 1/2 years before it disintegrated and had to be discarded. It had a one year guarantee. So, I then purchased the "new" UV Hydro cover ($841.12) which was more expensive than the first one with the hope that it would last longer...three year guarantee this...

    Arizona water

Thanks everyone.  Mainly concerned with the effects of not so good water on my trailer tank and lines.  One can always used bottled water for that morning coffee.  Will be looking into filter options.

    Arizona water

First trip to Arizona Jan/Feb.  From BC, so used to nice clean water.  Wondering what to expect in Arizona (and California, I suppose) as far as water quality goes.  Don't want to gum up my systems with poor water with lots of minerals etc.  What can I expect?  Can one find a tanker truck and...

Where to stay south of the Siskiyou on return trip

Seems like it is pretty common to stay at Seven Feathers on the way south to monitor weather sites and cams to decide on whether or not to go over the Siskiyou Pass.  I would much appreciate some suggestions as to where to stay in northern California to do the same if coming north in mid...

    Adding portable solar panel

I have a 2011 Wind River that came with a small, 7X11 inch 10 watt solar panel on the roof which can be turned on and off with a wall switch inside the unit.  I can't imagine that it does much considering its size, but every little bit helps I suppose.  Planning to go to Arizona soon and perhaps...

Truck and trailer storage Palm Springs

Greetings.  My wife and I are going to do our first B.C. to sunny Arizona trip this year.  Going to visit my sister in Hemet until just before Christmas and then fly from Palm Springs back home to Victoria for ten days or so.  Once the family visits are over, we will fly back down to Palm...

    Reservations???

Going to escape the wet coast in the new year leaving around the end of February. First RV trip south. Was wondering about the necessity of having reservations in the nicer RV parks in California and Arizona as we don't want to be tied to a schedule. Probably a difficult question to answer, but...

Honda EU 2000i oil change question

I agree that tipping the generator a bit and putting the oil in using a funnel works fine, the problem comes when dumping the old oil out.  It can be messy.  Go to Google and type in "how to change the oil in a Honda generator".  You will find a video by EU2000i that shows you how to make an...

How to clean a Tyvek RV cover

I live on the rainy west coast.  My Adco Tyvek RV cover has developed green mold stain in several places.  Hot water with a little soap and bleach does not remove it.  Any suggestions?  Thanks in advance.

    I-5 vs 99

Many thanks everyone.  What is the best way to get up to date reports on tule fog (never heard of it before)?  I gather it can occur from Redding all the way down to Bakersfield.

    I-5 vs 99

Leaving soon to travel from Victoria to Palm Springs.  Was wondering if it is better to stay on I-5 going south from Stockton area or use 99.  Doesn't look like there are many towns or RV parks on I-5.  On the other hand if one is not planning to stop between Stockton and Bakersfield, perhaps...
