    Registering RV Out of State

I have been out of the loop for some time, so this may be a bit late, but being a Michigan resident with an RV stored in Florida, i can tell you that you need not be a resident of Florida to register your unit there.  Had i registered it in MI this year, it would have cost me just over $800.  In...

    Hi from the Mitten State

This response may not be what you are looking for,  but DC storage in Hudsonville, Mi has listings of motorhomes and trailers for sale.  I believe they do consignment sales.

    Top dolly speed

Due to a lack of suspension, Tow Master dolly owners manual suggested that you deflate the tires and reduce speed when towing the dolly when empty. When under load the dolly will behave differently, so speed is less of a factor.

    Central ohio

Old Man's Cave state park is within a couple of hours of Columbus.  There are some newer sites there that are full service, and there is plenty to do in the area if you like hiking, nature programs, etc.  There is also a pool for the kids (kids of any size...)

    Siren Marine ?

They are flooded cell batteries and are connected, and charge maintained by shore power.  Since we are new to storing in warm climes, I took the advice of those more experienced than I on such matters and have the AC set for 80. That is part of why I have the shore power and batteries monitored.

    Siren Marine ?

So what will you do from 1500 miles away if it alerts you? depends...if it is moving down the road, or the door has been opened, call the police in Fla. if the temp is too high or the power use is out of line, call the manager of the storage facility (maybe someone tripped over our power...

    Siren Marine ?

Is anyone else using Siren Marine in their motorhome? So, in my previous life I was more accustom to working with and on boats.  I have found that many issues are the same.  So it makes sense that some solutions are usable in both settings. Given that we have decided to store our Motorhome in...

Dash Radio works, sometimes... Diagnostic help please

We have a sony radio in the dash.  It works fine, until it doesn't. It will cut out  for no apparent reason, and won't come back on.  We are parked, not going down the road.  The radio display shows that it is playing the radio (complete with radio id, etc), (or cd or sirius, or blue tooth)...

check out the Hobie line of inflatables.  lots to choose from.  the mirage (peddle) dive units are unique, and steering is done with a simple knob. they are expensive, but they are also durable and well built.

    A plague of frogs...

OK, so it wasn't a plague, only one really... And to be honest, it was probably a toad... But this is something I haven't had to deal with before. The wife was doing her morning exercise routine and noticed something on the floor - thought it was something we had tracked in.  Being her...

What do I need to do differently?

In the past we have visited Florida in the winter for 4 to 6 weeks, moved from park to park. In the process the generator was exercised, and equipment was generally used.  This year we are in one spot in southern Florida.  We arrived Oct 31 and don't plan on leaving until May.  This would be...

    Silly Question - Wash Job

Blue Beacon and a local truck wash both charged about $45 to do the motorhome and the car in tow.  It was a good job, and there was no damage or negative consequences.  It was a crew of 4 to 7 guys with long handle brushes, and was done very quickly.
