Just sitting here reading the paper and looking at the new 2" of snow on top of the 12" still remaining from last 5 months... More rain / snow tonight and then spring is coming..
I think that's a really good decision.. It's OK in a jeep or some other 4 wheel drive towed but there are some steep areas, some sharp corners where you could actually hit the rocks with your rv walls , some road areas were washed out to the extent that there really was only room for one car to...
We drove it in mid Feb.... it's 27 miles of a bad gravel washboard.... In my opinion, you could likely navigate the terrain carefully in a small RV but there would be some areas of safety concern ... BUT ...you would definately loosen every nut / bolt / screw and contact in the unit .... it...
It happened once to me .. I ended up redraining the fresh tank again, opening the filter cartridge chamber, (filter not in ) got water through to that point without air..... then after bleeding off the air from top of filter chamber, water then pushed all air through the system to each outlet...
Does your brake system also require 12V while being towed ?
If so, I recomend getting a "booster / started battery unit" and use that for the brake unit power while towing... charge back up when on shore power... that way you always have a "spare battery" along if ever needed.
I put a piece of plywood (counter top origin) on the floor for the Patriot system to sit on.... But the real key is to have the seat REALLY snug against the brake unit so the unit itself barely moves and the only thing that moves is the plunger ....

The Apache trail is a real unique trip - 27 miles of gravel washboard with great views... And if you do it...
