Thanks that helps!!! I will be replacing it in the spring. Decided to keep the old AC unit on top for the winter and just use the electric heaters for now. I would rather save some more money and get the one I want. The heat pump units are close to 1000 bucks.
Dang that's right down the road from me.
That cell phone in the drawer is pretty epic though. I think I will do that if I ever have to leave it off my property.
Do you think the insurance company will come through?
Crossing my figures someone finds it for you! I would lo-jack the next one...
Thanks all. I might just have to see what I want and give the company a call. Definitely want a heat pump. I'm in Florida now and it just gets chilly and all I need is a heat pump. Ac during the summer and a heat pump in the fall sounds good to me. Hate to waste propane.
Thx much.
Hello
My duo therm 2001 AC unit broke on my 35 foot class A allegro bay.
Can I order just about anything and stick it in the hole on the roof? I am ducted and was thinking about a heat pump/ac unit and I want to put it in myself.
Can someone break down if all AC units are the same hole size...
Thanks for the research to the above post.
A forum member said its probably time for a rebuild. I figured it was 13 years old so a rebuild wouldn't hurt.
Now that it appears there is no rebuild kit I will pull it and clean it.
Thx for the research and help.
Do we have a forum sponsor or a known good spot for parts?
I need to buy a carb rebuild kit and I am having a problem figuring out which one to buy.
Here is my specs off the generator.
Any advice would be great. I am a bit lost. Maybe I should just call the manufacturer.
Thx
Kevin,
That is a beautiful rig! Wow.
Is the sun eating up the paint? I know it says it is a 2011 but I was curious how it is holding up to the elements?
I guess there is nothing you can do about it cause you have to use it. I am going to upgrade mine once the first one is paid off. I am...
Detailed parts List --- Note this is from 2011 and I have added a 100 watt panel from amazon since then for 110 bucks.

Took a bit longer to post than I thought. But here is the system.
Battery bank looks a bit unorganized and I have been meaning to tidy up the wires a bit but when I water the batteries I had to cut all my cable ties so I just left them loose.
The roof pic.
~ I have room for 4 more 100 watt...
I would do both in this order.
Matched set of batteries.
Add solar panels as you have the budget.
A 100 watt panel is about 110 bucks on amazon if you have prime.
That being said I would go for the batteries first.
I have a 400 watt turbine and I also have solar.
The only way I would get my turbine out is if I lived on the coast or an area that was always blustery.
It's such a pain in the butt to store the pole and set up vrs the panels which are on the roof and require me to do nothing.
Solar all the...
Hi
I have had flat roof mounted panels on my RV for 4 years now. Personally if I could do it again I would keep them flat. I know I am losing a bit of power but I am working it up to 1k in panels and it is going to be more than enough.
I think if I were to want panels tilted I would do a...
Sure.
I will snap some pics tomorrow.
Just added a 100 watt panel to give the rig 670 watts of solar power. Below is a picture of my meter pumping 36 amps into the battery banks. If you don't have solar yet it is hard to explain the great feeling you get capturing energy and making your own...
