    Experience comes from poor judgement__.

I’m reminded of my brother’s favorite line: it sounded like a good idea at the time.

    So much for Lazy Days…

I very much agree with all that is said. I was just surprised no emails, no direct mail, of come visit us! Here’s our new location and a coupon. And understandably Elkhart is the heart of RV here in Indiana. Bottom line —corporate, no matter the business, is after the buck.,

    So much for Lazy Days…

LazyDays? Too lazy to care? Just learned yesterday Lazy Days “Chicago” office which is in Burns Harbor, Indiana moved everything to Elkhart in October. No warning, nothing zip zero nada from customer service, no heads up to us who use them. So much for corporate concerns. Bought CampLand a...

    Post a joke

Years ago we had the ”Norman Rockwell” Thanksgiving of the whole turkey on the dining room table. Someone made the remark “that’s a big bird” which sent my son screaming from the room. Took some convincing it was not The Big Bird. And yes, we still chuckle over it.

    Adults raiding Halloween candy?

This year for the first time in a long while, I had the nicest, most polite group of trick-or-treaters. The usual little kids accompanied by adults, with all saying thank you. And then groups of older kids (middle and maybe high school) who were incredibly polite, knocked and said ”trick or...

Ever get a song "stuck in your head"

I get ear worms of various random songs. Just sort of soft background music. Started with tinnitus, so the songs tend to block the sound of the “crickets” I hear. When I first noticed it, I thought it was the real crickets outside —- then with the first frost and cold weather, I realized it...

    Swapping/Exchanging Water Heater at Purchase

I had my local dealer change my on-demand to a regular water heater several years after owning my Trend. Hooking up the electric wasn’t an option, so I had to stay with propane. Luckily the tanks were the same size so nothing but taking out the old and putting in the new. Yes, labor costs but...

    Ditching the Dish

Try quitting Dish when it’s not at your own house. It was at Mom’s house and she’s passed. Equipment had to be picked up at the address registered, no matter the house is sold and the box is at my house. Then I’m told to return it to a place at least 2 hours away. ”Dish brought the equipment...

    Tankless water heater woes

I had (yes, had) the tankless in my Winnebago Trend — which holds 24 gallons of water. Leaving the water running while I showered wasn’t an option. I hated it. Hated it enough to put back in a regular tanked water heater. Happy ever since. Why the Winnebago engineers thought this would...

Dog. BIG dog. What would you do?

My first — and so far only — dog bite? In a retail store with 2 standard poodles, which I mistakingly figured were friendly. One bit the back of my hand. The owner nicely (??) said, “I’ll get a band aid.” Horsefeathers! As blood is dripping and running. I headed to the ER. Animal control...

    What kinds of things...

My son gave me 12 coupons for various things: lunch out, breakfast, your choice, or my favorite! Gutter cleaning! He wrote each coupon out on nice artists paper and bound them between 2 small pieces of wood, sanded and rounded corners, tied with a cord. On top of the great choices was the...
