    Let's talk about propane

Just a thought, if you're currently working with propane equipment, & have the tools for it, couldn't you simply remove the valve, remove or cut off the dip tube, then reinstall the valve?

    Side project started....HF trailer "Teardrop"

I like your triangle idea.....I may have to 'borrow' it!

    Side project started....HF trailer "Teardrop"

@Ex-Calif. I bought the hitch almost 3 years ago, & can't seem to find the place I got it from. Here'a a couple links to similar hitches, unfortunately, they're quite a bit more than I paid for mine. https://openroadoutfitters.com/vstar-1100-classic-silverado-hitch-all-years-chrome/...

    Side project started....HF trailer "Teardrop"

@DeckArtist; Here's the requested pic of the more or less finished project...there's a few little things I want to do to it yet, but it hit the road yesterday.

    Side project started....HF trailer "Teardrop"

Lovely, now I got another project....lol. I have a trailer I built in the '80s to pull behind my motorcycle(s), but I haven't used it in probably 15 years. I pulled it out of the weeds recently, & prepared to start refurbishing it, when I ran across this thread. Well, I went down to HF &...

    Side project started....HF trailer "Teardrop"

I've been towing a trailer behind my motorcycles for many years....I can't speak of a blowout(I am very meticulous about my tires), but I did hit a huge chuckhole once, at highway speed that flipped my trailer completely over. Didn't bother the bike at all, I just pulled over & flipped the...

Using a drill to raise trailer roof

I've been using a cordless drill to raise the roof on our 1984 Coleman Cape Cod for several years now. Our roof was a bit stiff raising as well, my cordless drill would just barely raise it, in fact, I burned one drill up trying to lift the roof. I eventually bought a small gear reduction, &...

    Avoiding popup trailer mice damage.

I've been using the Fresh Cab packets since we first bought the pup, so I can't say I had a prior problem with it, but we do have a lot of mice in the area, & yes, it has been parked in the same spot every winter.

    Avoiding popup trailer mice damage.

I've been using Fresh Cab packets in our popup, don't know if they actually work or we've just been lucky, but in the 5 years we've owned the pup, we've not had a mouse problem. It spends the winter parked out in a pasture, but no problems so far (knocks on wood).

    Sink fauncet?

Try www.colemanpopupparts.com, they bought all the remaining Coleman / Fleetwood parts when the factory closed, they're good people to deal with...

    Slide lube?

I can't speak for yours, but our pup is an '84 Coleman Cape Cod...when we first got it, it took 2 men and a strong boy (well, it seemed like it:rolleyes:) to pull / push the slides. I vacuumed out the slide tracks, then used a dry silicone spray liberally. Now I can easily pull them out & back...

    My new-to-me Dutchmen

Congrats on your upcoming wedding,& on your new acquisition.  Just an aside, what 3 wheeler do you ride?  I, my son, & son-in-law all ride '86 ATC 350X's, in fact just got back from a weekend camping/riding trip.

    Bugs-creepy crawlers- canvas question

'Rearward facing 3rd seat' ...LOL.  When I was a kid, my aunt had a Vista Cruiser just like the one on 'That 70's Show', I've never been one to get carsick, but 10 miles of riding in that backwards seat, I'd be puking my guts up.  On the upside, I always got a window seat  after that....

    2003 coleman thermostat

I changed the thermostat on ours to a digital, & used a coil cord (kinda like a phone handset cord) to attach it.  It stores in the dinette storage when traveling, when setting up, I hang up above the sink....works great.  Definitely cured the wide temperature swings.
