    hourmeter problems on generator

Hey,   I have a champion 3500/4000 W generator that I'm trying to add an hour meter to.  It's a DC one from a marine store, so I hooked it up to the DC part of the generator.  Well after I mounted it and tried to run it, it didnt count the way its supposed to.  I hooked it up to a battery and...

    remote camping with trailer

I've heard of guys that will take their trailers or truck slide in campers and do "remote camping."  I was hoping someone could give me some insight on this concept.  It seems to me, that its just taking your RV rig onto a jeep trail (if you can make it) and basically find a corner of that trail...

ok, a story scared me, so now I better do it

why should I be good with a pop-up?  Is there just enough non-air-tightness inherent in these kinds of units, that natural ventilation just occurs.  Does it matter that there is no vent unless the ac or fan is running?  Thanks for the input.  Please help me along in this dialogue.

ok, a story scared me, so now I better do it

I got a 95 Palomino Pop-up with roof mounted AC, 3 way fridge, LP stove with three burners, and a LP water heater for the shower, and electric water pump.  It should be noted that the roof mounted AC took the place of the vent, so there is no vent besides the AC when it is running, either in...

    battery suggestions for pop-up

thats just for driving down the road.  I got the proper gauge wire, and its actually fused with error on the small side for safety.  I still need a battery for when I'm out there with no ac power.  I also want to try "remote" camping with this rig a few times.  Also, from outside the camper, the...

    battery suggestions for pop-up

I got a 95 Palomino mustang, with roof mounted ac, 3 way fridge, water heater, water pump, 12v lights, etc.  I usually just always camp where there is 120 ac power to run everything, but now that i got my tow vehicle fixed up with a 12 v source to charge/power the trailer systems at 13-14 v with...

    major pop-up work happening here

Hello,     I have a 1995 Palomino Mustang pop-up (12 ft variety).  Today, while doing some routine work, I discovered a major problem.  There was a lot of rotting wood, (seems like water damage) to the front lip of the roof (the widthwise piece).  About 1/3 of the plank (about 8ft long by 6...

    plumbing question

I have a 1995 Palomino Mustang pop-up 12 ft box with a shower.  When I hook up to water at a campsite or even when I use the  water pump from the onboard tank, the faucets in the sink leak.  The shower ones do NOT leak in the closed position.  The faucet in the sink always leaks, no matter how...
