Just make sure not to charge them if their internal temperature has dropped below freezing.
Won't the BMS prevent the charging of the battery when below freezing?

On my electric motorcycles, they are impossible to charge when below 32F. The BMS will shut off the charging when too hot or too cold. If it gets colder or hotter even than that, the bike will go into a limp mode for a while and then turn off the battery and then you're stuck where you are. Not many want to ride in such temps anyway.

So I assume the BMS in a LiFePO4 battery will do the same.

Some do, some don't particularly on cheaper batteries, worse yet some of the cheaper LiFePo4 batteries advertise as having low temperature protection in the BMS, but don't have it in reality. If you watch some of WIll Prowse videos on youtube, you will see a number of them that advertise this feature, but lack it when he does a tear down.
