Found a nice little battery monitor at walmart. It plugs into any cigarette lighter and gives a digital read out down to the tenths. I found it in the automotive section next to the battery cables and jump starters. Thought others out there might like this little device. It will also check the alternator if you plug it into a vehicle that is running.
 
I figured i would wire me up a cigarette lighter plug in the TT and use it to monitor my newly installed GC2 batteries.
 
To get true battery voltage, the socket you plug the meter into has to be connected directly to the batteries, with nothing else sharing that run.  If you put the meter on wires that are shared with other loads, your voltage readings will be affected by the voltage that is lost along the wire when the other loads are on.
