1984 tioga 26' switch near door

Howdy all,

I just bought a 84 Tioga Arrow 26'... logn story short so far everythign is great but I have 2 switches next to the front door (inside) One turns on the outside light... btu the other appears to do nothing. I've checked the manual and it si worthless as well.. i am hoiping someone knows what they lil switch does...

It might be a inside light switch, turn on your inside lights and try the switch to see if it turns one of them off.
 
Could be a couple of things:
1) a battery disconnect switch (but that would shut off all interior lights if you were not plugged to shore power)
2) Step control (if your step is motor operated and extends retracts automatically when door opened/closed).
3) Lights in storage areas underneath coach (if any)

#2 is the most likely
 
In my 1992 Tioga, it is the switch to the ceiling light right outside of the bathroom.
 
Possible inside step light ? Some have a small light on sidewall going up steps.
 
Thanks everyone.... It turns out to be a inside light switch that was not working right.... found that some squirrels ate up a couple wires in the furnace area and they were shorting out....
