LOL. Everybody here wants low risk and doesn't mind spending your money to get it. But they are right about the POTENTIAL for "money pit".
Didn't you say you are driving a '72 now? So maybe an '86 is a step up in reliability? Certainly a Beaver is, in terms of construction quality.
You are probably thinking "It's a diesel - they are good for a million miles, right?". But that mileage is between major engine rebuilds, i.e.crankshaft & pistons and such. Everything else has more car-like life spans. Water & fuel pumps, injection pump, radiator, alternator, starter, etc all have much shorter life spans. At 115k, all of those things are likely repairs unless they have already been done recently.
