Hi Fellow RV'ers. Iam new to RVing and iam considering buying a 1993 Teton 40' 5th Wheel. A friend of mine has it and is honest and upfront. he wants $7500 for it, the inside is very clean and looks like a quality unit. We ran all the systems and everything operates, the AC seems a little weak for a tough Arizona climate, but we will not use in AZ summers. The roof was re coated 1year ago. The outside is a little weathered but reasonable condition for the age. The tires are decent shape but i will check and pack the wheel bearings thoroughly before pulling it anywhere. I understand that with 5th wheels if the tires are less than 7 yrs old with good tread they should be OK?? I would appreciate any comments or suggestions you folks have. Anything with these Tetons I should watch out for?? I initially intend to use the unit occasionally for a few years but plan the cross country retirement trip within 5 or so years. I will be pulling the unit with a like new 99 Dodge RAM dually with a diesel. Does it sound like a decent buy? NADA on the unit is about 11k.
Thanks for you input!!
