We've had unusually poor weather for the Southeast rallies this year.  A monsoon at the spring rally and now heavy rain and flooding in the fall followed by a cold snap (34 degrees this morning). Yet through it all folks laughed and enjoyed themselves. Fortunately we had shelters at both locations.

We are departing for our Florida home base this morning and I think most of the remaining attendees will also leave today. Joel & Camille Myers will remain, holding the fort.

A great big thanks to Gary and Nancy for a really fun rally even with all the rain and standing water.  Also, a big thank you to Jeff and Sue for the omelet in bag breakfast for two days and all who brought really good extras.  It was lots of fun and great company.  Always nice to meet new attendees and get to know them.  It was wonderful to get to see long time friends again, too.

Ditto for us.  And again if was great meeting new friends, and seeing old friends.
A very big thanks to Gary and Nancy.  We had a great time.  And another big thanks to Jeff and Sue....job well done.

Travel Safe, and may the road be smooth before ye.

Judy and Wayne have arrived safely at Lakeland Carefree RV Resort for the district FCRV  rally.

Our thanks to Gary and Nancy for another great SE rally. We will be looking for an even greater rally next year.
Thanks to Jeff for the great omelets in a bag.

We really enjoyed old friends and meeting all of the new attendees who are now old friends. Old certainly not referring to anyone's age :D.

Thanks again to all.

Judy and Wayne (judway).

We are spending one last night at King George before heading to south Florida in the morning. The photo is from Sunday night; tonight there are only two blue lights in the park!

Thanks Gary and Nancy, we had a great time and loved seeing everyone again or meeting new friends.

Until next year!

We would also like to thank Gary & Nancy for hosting the rally and Jeff & Sue for providing the great omlettes. We arrived home in the early afternoon. The drive was uneventful and it was good to be on concrete again!!!

We thought we'd be here until Christmas but a message from our son now has us leaving tomorrow, without the coach, for Virginia. His promotion to Navy Captain has been changed from early spring to Monday!!!! At frist we thought we should skip it but have decided it's too important to miss even though it will be a low key ceremony. We will probably return on Tuesday.

Jim,

Congratulations to the "Captain".  I've known a few through work, mostly submariners, and they were all great guys as were the full colonels in the AF.  Must be something about the winowing process in the service!  BG

Wonderful news. Congratulations to the Captain and to his very proud parents.

Please add our congratulations to those for Captain Jimmy.  Congrats to Regina and the kids, too.  When a man attains a rank that high, I'm sure the family also serves in a million large and small ways.

Hope you proud parents have a safe trip to the ceremony.

Margi

We too had a blissfully uneventful trip to our home base. We are parked in the yard of the house but still living in the coach, since our daughter hasn't moved out yet.  Maybe by early next week we will really be "home"???.

Hey, congratulations to you all!  Have a safe and joyous trip!

We made it home without incident.

Thank-you, Gary & Nancy, for hosting a great rally!  Our first, but hopefully not our last!  We had a very nice time thanks to the friendliness of the Framily.

To All,

Thanks for your thoughts. We will certainly tell the Captain of your congratulations. May even post a couple of photos if they come out. He said it will not be formal but we'll enjoy it anyway. :)

Would that be a "formal eviction"?

I can't evict her yet, cause we are supplying the mattress for her new place.  We have a new air-type mattress on order for the coach and will donate the previous conventional one to the new apartment. But the new one hasn't arrived yet...

Congrats to the new Captain.

We overnighted at the Lake Wateree State Park near Winnsboro SC and arrived home yesterday shortly after noon.
Diesel was 2.73.9 in SC yesterday.

Thanks Dave.

We fueled up in St. Marys this morning with regular gas at $2.049. In North Carolina it is $2.479+!! Sure glad I'm not driving the coach! It sure was nice to get home and we had Ned & Lorna next door. They invited us for a spaghetti dinner last night and left right after us this morning. Wish we had more time to visit. We also visited with Steve & Ginette earlier in the evening. We will finally "get home" either late Tuesday or early Wednesday. Hope we can stay put until Christmas. ;D

Jim  Congrats to your son!  We are awaiting son in law promotion to Chief, which we expect in the next 12 months.

Judway, Lakeland, FL?  Just a couple miles away, we are in a Carefree in Zephyrhils.  (Majestic Oaks)

Sat, bit cloudy and cool still, but clearing on the way and a warming trend.
