Anyone out there happen to know how much weight a 28 ft Campmaster (2003) will carry in the “garage” . I put my Suzuki Samari in for a hunting trip and was curious about being within specs for GVW. Jim

Visit a scale with that Suzuki loaded aboard. You need to be concerned about exceeding either the GVWR and the axle loads (GAWR). Depending on the placement of the cargo weight, it's possible to exceed the axle ratings and still be within the GVWR.

They're built strong because they were cargo trailer designers before converting some into campers. I have a 2003 campmaster 25 footer that I haul my 1,000 lb atv with no problem. There's a plate on the outside driver's side front of the frame that might give you some specs, mine was so worn I couldn't determine anything. Here's a link to a page with an old brochure for campmaster. It doesn't specify cargo weight, but they mention that the ramp door alone can hold 4,000 lbs.
