Advice on leveling the RV - and help with a recent issue bringing in the slide

When I first saw the King Air (not a Newmar) picture I thought, "A King Air doesn't have a cruciform tail." Then I realized it was just the lighting and picture angle that made the prop blade on the #1 engine appear at first glance as part of the vertical fin. Nice shot.
 
I always feel better about leveling the coach first then extending slides. Ours sort of did the same thing, a little slow until it was over the hump then normal speed until in all the way.
