Advise please, windshield popping out

We needed to move the motor home today, so we went for a cruise down the freeway for some exercise.  Noticed a whistling that wasn't there before.  Discovered that there is a gap at the top passenger side corner.
Can you tell us the best place to get something like this repaired? I would think that the average windshield repair place might not be the right place, but what do I know.

If you have a road coverage service, give them a call. If not, I would call a few local auto glass shops and inquire about their ability to handle the job.
 
I can't imagine what help your road service could provide but insurance will cover repairs less deductibles and any  experienced RV glass installer can reinstall the windshield into the gasket.
 
Most any automotive glass shop can do the job. Call around and ask.

I had the same problem with my Bounder on the driver side upper corner...I had my RV shop fix./reinstall the glass...they were equipped to handle the job. Since I was having some other work done, replacing a cracked passenger side windshield, the shop said they would do it at no charge, but...here is the caveat...if the glass were to break when re-installing the cost would be on me to replace the glass...sounded fair. They were successful in reinstalling the glass that popped out and replaced the cracked windshield with a new one. Shop said that it was more likely my auto levelers that were the culprit...they highly recommended using the levels in manual mode to have more control when lower/raising the jacks.
 
Thank you everyone...  We will start calling around.  Just worried that it will just fall out while driving.  Is this something we should be concerned about?
 
I ended up putting ratcheting cargo straps top and bottom anchored to eye bolts (Well j-hook brackets) either side of the windshield.  This is AFTER Damon re-cut and replaced the things. on my intruder.  Way easier to replace the 15' straps than the windshield.
 
At the risk of being called crazy, I'll tell you how I fixed my popping-out windshield.

The passenger side windshield popped out in the lower right corner (a gap of about 1/2 inch) four years in a row.  Any time I drove more than a few hundred miles, it would pop out before I got back home.  The first two times I had Safelite Auto Glass reset it for me.  The cost was $80 each time.  The following two times, I purchased the gasket replacement tool and reset the windshield myself.

The last time it popped out, in 2010, I decided that I, indeed, wanted that to be the last time, so I filled a syringe with RMP3 and injected a good dose of it beneath the gasket (between the window and the gasket and between the front cap and gasket).

The windshield has not moved, even a fraction of an inch, in the past three years.  I have tested various spots around the glass to ensure that the gasket could be removed, if necessary without any damage to the gasket or the coach.  I am extremely happy with the results.
 
tomorrow i well have my glass reinstall  as it has been wanting to fall out of the rv for some time now

now  i only have tap holding it in

forget what is called so i well just call it paint    the paint on the back side of the glass  that you glue sticks too came off the glass 

OP i hope this is not whats going  on with yours

it did take some time to find some one that would do it  as they all said  there is rules on reinstalling a used windshield

reinstall cost is 150$ with glue
 
Call RV Glass Solutions in Coburg(Eugene).  They are true specialists.  The manager used to be the service manager for Monaco. He will be glad to discuss what is happening and give you options.
 
I suggested road care to be pointed towards a window repair service. Any road service could provide a list of shops local to wherever you are.

We did call RV solutions, and were told $250.  Does this sound like a reasonable $ amount? Also called our insurance and they are going to call back and let us know if it would be covered.

Like I said earlier, I paid $80 on two different occasions.  Maybe if it's a full one piece windshield, or it's determined that it has to be completely removed and re-installed, the price might warrant a $250 charge.  Personally, I see no reason to completely remove it just to completely re-install it.  The process to get it seated back in the frame and gasket is the same either way.

I would not want anyone usung a permenant glue on my windshield gasket, but the sealant I used is working wonderfully.

I will say that I was told by the installer that IF the glass broke, while he was resetting it, a new one would be at my expense.  Maybe if you have your insurance company involved, the risk is different.
 
On our recent trip out west we were having continuing problems with our 1-piece windshield on our 2007 Monaco 'popping' out. We (excuse me...) CW had the window "reseated" x3 prior to our departure. We thought we'd dealt with the problem until we got to I-40 outside Little Rock, AR when we hit a road bump and it popped again. This time the whistle was so bad we had to wear ear plugs until we got to our overnight stop. Called CW and extended warranty with no satisfaction. Finally contacted a glass company on our own, who came to state park and did his best to get it back in place. This fix lasted until we got to Oklahoma City where another CW guy did his best to find us a repairman but the tornadoes had just hit so every glass company was slammed busy, but one came by & adjusted the window again. When the RV broke down in Kingman,, AZ (trailing arms...yup, its a Monaco) we found the windshield was leaking again. Freightliner recommended a local glass company who, for $400 fixed the problem by taking out the windshield, redoing the gasket, and sealing it. We have not, to date, had ANY further problems. The glass guy videotaped the reinstallation of the glass, just so we would believe what he was telling us...all previous 'fixes' had done nothing....no glue, no sealant, & someone had actually cut the gasket to make it fit in the opening!  The rest of our trip, nearly another 3,000 miles, no leaks. Lesson learned!
 
I do like to do a follow up post on threads I've started...  RV Glass Solutions came to us, (by the time they could get out here, both sides were popping out)  They were very professional and did both sides for the original quoted amount.  They removed the old sealant from the gasket, reseated the windshield, and applied top quality commercial marine sealant/adhesive.  We were impressed with their knowledge and experience.  Now hopefully the windshield will stay in place  :)
 
Just a note to mention that windshields aren't the only source of front end whistles, though obviously they are of first concern. We had a whistle show up after a very hot day, but had trouble pinpointing the source. DW heard it coming from my side and I heard it coming from her side. When we got to camp and closed only the screen door, we found a piece of the door fabric had somehow gotten caught in the upper door latch, breaking the normally excellent seal around the door. The problem had been hidden by the screen door itself. Cutting this small piece out solved the whistle.

But, of course, the windshield is of greater concern.
