Eagles Nest is mostly RV parks, and is small about half way between Red River and Angel Fire. Red River is a tourist town and squeezed into a valley so real estate is at a premium so prices are higher. Angel Fire is more up scale than Eagles Nest and has the only real grocery store/fuel point, facilities (laundry, etc) in the valley. Eagles Nest is near the lake, and is a cross roads with plenty of space for RV parks. The main problem with Eagles Nest is you have to drive to shop. I stay in Eagles Nest and fish, but if you want to hike, rent 4 wheelers, try a lot of restaurants, shop in a variety of stores, etc. go to Red River. Angel fire has good hikes, golf courses, resorts and zip lines, but limited dining, shopping, and attractions.
