I-49 straight North or 220 around west side? No TT or 5th wheel. Tks

I agree the section of I-49 going through the center of Shreveport is still a number of years away from being complete.  Note 3132 loop turns into the I220 bypass when it crosses north of I20, and is a limited access interstate grade road. it just happens to be a state highway for some crazy reason, though you may need to adjust your speed, as the concrete expansion joints may cause issues depending on your wheel base.  Also be aware that I49 between Shreveport and Texarkana was just completed within the last 10 years or so and has very few services along the way, only 1 or 2 gas stations of any size, and every time I have stopped at one there has been a line to get to the pumps.  If driving into Shreveport from the south on I49 there is a fairly good size "Relay Station" travel center where hwy 175 crosses I-49 about 10 miles sourth of the 3132 loop, though the last time I stopped there about a year ago the parking lot pavement was getting to be in poor shape.
