I also installed a front mount receiver hitch on the truck and carried 2 bikes for the grand kids this past week on the front of the truck with mine on the rear of the 5er along with a cargo carrier for fire wood and did not block enough air to matter because I watched the temp gauges and it is exactly the same as when towing without the bikes so I do not believe blocking air flow is a real problem.

Here's what we use.  A cheap alternative.  Works great, and I can still keep my spare tire on the rear bumper.

Something from Harbor Freight...  http://www.harborfreight.com/catalogsearch/result?q=receiver

I bought this at camping world, looks similar to Bardene's. http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/rv-4-bumper-adapter/17221

I put on a light bike rack, and only one mountain bike. I don't think the cheapo rear bumper is strong enough for 2 full size mountain bikes (30lbs each) but might work fine with a couple lightweight roadbikes.

I put a front hitch on my f250 for a motorcycle, but the hitch puts the motorcycle rack way to high. I haven't tried it with the bike rack yet. I'm trying to fabricate a 6" drop for the moto tote rack to get the moto seat out of my line of sight.

I really like Silveradomike's 5w pin mount. If I start hauling bikes often, I'll have to get one of those fabricated.
Great forum!
